William R Clark, age 42, of Green River, was arrested on 1/27/13 at 12:35 am on Riverview Drive on a warrant out of Sublette County for Failure to Pay Fines on the original charge of Battery. Officers were dispatched to a report of a Battery on Riverview Drive. Officers contacted the parties involved and a warrants check showed the outstanding arrest warrant for Clark. Clark was taken into custody and transported to jail. A report regarding the Battery the officers were originally called was taken. The witness and victim had statements taken and a report was forwarded to the County Attorney’s office for review.
Benjamin K Begay, age 48, of Green River was arrested on 1/26/13 at 11:15 pm on Schultz Street for Domestic Battery. Officers were dispatched to The Mustang Motel on E Flaming Gorge Way, regarding a Domestic Battery. Officers took a statement from the victim and documented her injuries. Officer later found Begay at residence on Schultz Street and he was taken into custody and transported to jail.
Justin G Andrew, age 21, of Green River was arrested on 1/26/12 at 02:03 am on Shoshone Ave for Driving While Intoxicated. Andrew was stopped for a lane use violation and subsequent investigation showed he was intoxicated. Andrew was taken into custody and transported to jail where a breath test showed his blood alcohol concentration was over the legal limit.
Nikki R McGilvray, age 25, of Rock Springs was arrested on 1/25/13 at 11:59 pm on Uinta Drive for Public Intoxication. Officers were dispatched to Uinta Drive near Shoshone Ave regarding a female lying on the roadway. Officers contacted McGilvray and she was uncooperative when officers tried to question her. Officers realized she was intoxicated and she was taken into custody and transported to jail where a breath test showed her blood alcohol level was over the legal limit.
Phillip L Martinez, age 18, of Green River was cited for Underage Consumption of Alcohol on 1/27/13 at 02:13 am on Scotts Bottom Road. Martinez was a passenger in a car that officers stopped for being in the FMC Park after hours. Officers determined Martinez was under the influence of alcohol and he was cited for the violation.
Mitchell R V Long, age 20, of Green River was cited for Underage Consumption of Alcohol on 1/27/13 at 01:58 am on Evans Street. Officers initiated a person’s check with Long while he was walking on Uinta Drive because Long appeared he may be out after Curfew. Officers determined Long was under the influence of an alcoholic beverage and he was cited for the violation.
Taylor L Ellison, age 18, of Rock Springs was cited for Reckless Driving on 1/24/13 at 12:15 pm at the Green River High School Parking lot. The SRO was contacted by the school principal and advised of the complaint made to him by a school employee. The incident was investigated and Ellison was contacted at the Independent High School in Rock Springs where he admitted to the violation. Ellison was cited and given a Trespass warning for the GRHS at the principal’s request.
A 16 year old male was taken into custody on Colorado Drive on 1/26/13 at 08:00 pm for violation of a Court Order.
A 17 year old male was cited for Shoplifting on 1/27/13 at 08:49 pm on Bridger Drive. Officers were dispatched to the Bridger Loaf and Jug regarding a shoplifting complaint. A store employee observed a teenaged male steal some items from the store. When confronted the male left the store and got into a car which then left the area. The suspect was later found at an address on Washington Street in Green River. The juvenile admitted to the theft and he was cited for the violation.
Officers investigated a Larceny report on Bridger Drive when an employee observed a female leave a store with items for which she did not pay. Officers arrived and took the store clerk’s statement. The investigation is ongoing.
Officers took a Credit Card Fraud report on E 2nd N when the victim advised someone used his credit card to purchase merchandise without his permission totaling over $1500. The victim stated his credit card was recently stolen and found in Green River and returned to him and when he received his card statement he discovered the unauthorized charges.
Officers took a report of an attempted fraud on Monroe Ave when the victim advised she received several phone calls from a male purporting to be her nephew. The caller stated he had been in a car crash and needed some money and when the victim asked for his mother’s name the caller hung up and did not call back.
Officers took a Malicious Mischief report on Wilkes Drive when the victim reported someone broke out the passenger window of his van. The victim estimated his loss at $100.
Officers were dispatched to an apartment complex on Bridger Drive regarding a subject removal. The male was contacted and told to leave and he complied. He was also given a trespass warning at management’s request.
Officers assisted ambulance personnel with a female subject on N 6th W suffering from severe abdominal pains.
Animal Control Officers responded to a report of a squirrel in a trap on W 4th N; the squirrel was relocated and released.
Animal Control Officers responded to a report of a cat in a trap on Astle Ave; the cat was impounded.
Officers assisted Game and Fish personnel with the removal of a wounded deer on Andrews Street.
Officers assisted ambulance personnel on Nebraska Street with a 65 year old female who was having difficulty breathing and was shaking uncontrollably.
Officers responded to a report of multiple intoxicated males involved in an altercation on E Railroad Street; the suspect was gone when police arrived and no one wished to pursue charges.
Officers assisted Highway Patrol personnel with a traffic crash that occurred in the tunnels on I-80.
