Shamra Zancanella, age 27, of Green River was arrested on 10/19/12 at 2:48 pm on Wilkes Drive on a warrant out of Circuit Court for Failure to Appear on the original charges of Driving While Suspended, No Seatbelt and No Insurance. Officers were dispatched to a disturbance call at the Wilkes Apartments parking lot. Zancanella was contacted and a person’s check the outstanding arrest warrant for Zancanella.
Casey L Wilson, age 18, of Green River, was arrested on 10/21/12 at 06:00 am on Little Firehole Rd for Grand Larceny of an Automobile. Officers were dispatched to Alaska Drive regarding the theft of a Polaris Razor four wheeler. Officers chased the vehicle and occupants over Wilken’s Peak to where it was finally stopped on County Rd 9. Sweetwater County Sheriff Deputies assisted with the arrest. A 15 year old female and a 17 year old male were also taken into custody and charged with the theft. Wilson was also charged with Interference with a Police Officer for being uncooperative and not providing his identity for officers.
Officers took a report of an Attempted Fraud on Faith Drive when the potential victim reported he responded to an ad on KSL Classifieds and later found out it was a fraud. No money was lost by the reporting party.
A Malicious mischief report was taken on Faith Drive when the victim advised someone had cut the wires to his Internet service. Officers checking with neighbors learned there was similar additional vandalism to other residence on the street. Anyone with information please call the GRPD at 872-0555.
Officers were dispatched to a disturbance complaint at the Wilkes Apartments; the disturbance was verbal in nature and no arrests were made.
Officers took a report of an attempted fraud on Wild Horse Canyon Rd when a customer of a local motel reported someone called his room claiming to be motel staff and requested credit card information. The potential victim refused to give out his information over the phone and check with motel staff. He learned no one from the hotel staff called his room. No loss was reported.
Officers assisted ambulance personnel on Shoshone Ave with a one month old child who was having trouble breathing.
Animal Control Officers responded to E 3rd S for a dog at large; a German Sheppard was impounded.
Officers from the GRPD and the Sweetwater County Bomb Squad assisted BLM agents and ATF agents near Jeffrey City Wyoming with suspicious packages located in that area. No explosives were located.
Officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute on South Wagonwheel Drive. The disturbance was verbal and no arrests were made.
Officers impounded a black lab that was reported running at large near the rodeo arena.
Officers responded to a cat in a trap on S 4th W.
Officers assisted ambulance personnel on E Railroad Street with a 28 year old male who was suffering from dizziness and nausea.
Animal Control officers responded to a report of a cat in a trap on S 4th W.
Officers assisted Probation and Parole agents by witnessing clients’ drug tests on Commerce Way.
