Shane R Beckstead, age 45, of Green River was arrested on 9/22/12 at 09:46 pm on Monroe Ave for Driving While Intoxicated. Beckstead was stopped for a lane use violation and subsequent investigation showed he was intoxicated. Beckstead was taken into custody and transported to jail where a breath test showed his blood alcohol concentration at over twice the legal limit.
Jessica T Ronnfeldt, age 26, of Green River was arrested on 9/22/12 at 12:20 am on Astle Ave for Driving While Intoxicated. Ronnfeldt was stopped for a lane use violation and subsequent investigation showed she was intoxicated. Ronnfeldt was taken into custody and transported to jail where a breath test showed her blood alcohol concentration at over double the legal limit.
Jason K Merrifield, age 26, of Green River was arrested on 9/21/12 at 04:21 pm on Uinta Drive on warrants out of Circuit Court for Failure to Appear on the original charges of Driving While Intoxicated, Domestic Battery, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Use of a Controlled Substance, No Insurance, No Driver’s License and Lane Use.
Officers investigated a report of a Battery on W Teton Blvd when a male reported his roommate struck him with an unknown object which caused a cut on his head. Officers learned the roommates had a previous argument earlier at a local saloon. The victim advised when he returned home to his apartment his roommate struck him with an unknown object causing injuries to his head. A report was forwarded to the County Attorney’s office for review.
Officers arrested five juveniles for Curfew on 9/23/12 at 12:37 am on Cedar Street. The juveniles were cited and released to guardians.
A report of Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle was taken on Wilkes Drive when the owner advised she lent her car to a friend and he did not return the car to her. The matter has been turned over to detectives for further investigation.
Officers investigated a report of Shoplifting on Uinta Drive when the manager of a local business reported that the manager of a store in Rock Springs to him that subjects came into the Rock Springs Store and tried to return items that were allegedly purchased in the Green River Store. When the Green River store watched video of the subject, he realized the items were trying to be returned were actually stolen from the Green River store. The investigation is ongoing.
A report of Unlawful contact was taken on E Railroad Street when a male advised he was attacked by two men when he followed them out of a bar to have a cigarette. The victim gave a description of the suspects and the investigation is ongoing.
Officers investigated a crash that occurred at the Senior Citizen’s Center parking lot when a pickup truck driven by Ira Whitley backed into a parked car owned by Betty Maes. Damage to the Maes car was estimated at over $1000 and under $1000 to the Whitley truck. No injuries were reported.
Officers issued a Disturbing the Peace warning on Shoshone Ave on 9/23/12 at 12:51 am when an anonymous caller reported loud voices coming from an apartment. The suspect was contacted and advised of the complaint.
A Disturbing the Peace report was taken on Wild Horse Canyon Drive when the manager of a business reported a fight in the establishment. Officers check the area and no one actually witnessed the fight and the combatants could not be identified.
A Disturbing the Peace report was taken on Crossbow Drive at 01:03 am when the victim advised a group of individuals were being loud and thought there was going to be a physical altercation. Officers checked the area and no one was located.
A Trespass warning was issued on N Wagonwheel Drive when the victim requested the suspect given a trespass warning for her property. The suspect was not contacted at the time of the report because of heavy case load.
Nuisance Property warnings were issued on Sunset Street, on Mountain View Drive and on Anvil Drive.
Officers responded to a report of a barking dog on Cumorah Way; the owner was contacted and warned.
Officers assisted Probation and Parole agents on Commerce Way by witnessing client’s drug tests.
Officers assisted ambulance personnel on Trail Drive with an 11 month old child having a seizure.
Officers assisted ambulance personnel on Schultz Street with a 70 year old female suffering dehydration and having breathing problems.
Animal Control Officers impounded a Yorkie dog on W 3rd S.
Officers responded to a report of a Shepherd type dog at large on W 4th N; the animal was located and returned to owner with a warning.
