Officers investigated a report of a barking dog on the 200 block of Trail Dr. The matter was turned over to Animal Control Officers.

Officers were dispatched to the Maverik General Store on Uinta Dr. to investigate a reported gas skip.

Animal Control Officers assisted a citizen with an animal problem on Mississippi St.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to a barking dog problem on the 400 block of Wilkes Dr. The owner who was away from the residence was advised of the problem and issued a verbal warning.

Officers assisted a social worker from the Wyoming Department of Family Services with a home visit on Wilkes Dr.

Amber Fair, 29 years old of Green River was arrested on an arrest warrant issued by Superior Court of California, County of Sacramento for Kidnapping, Child Abduction. An investigator from the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office had tracked Fair and her minor child to Rock Springs and worked with the Rock Springs Police Department Investigators. On September 19, 2012 these investigators learned Fair was actually living in Green River and contacted the Green River Police Department. Fair was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Sweetwater County Detention Facility. The minor child was placed in the custody of the Wyoming Department of Family Services.

Officers assisted a citizen with a civil matter on Hillcrest Dr.

Officers were dispatched to a residence on the 400 block of Iowa Ave. to a report of disturbing the peace and trespassing. The suspect was contacted and given a trespass warning and the report was forwarded to the city prosecutor.

Officers investigated a fraud report on the 200 block of Clark St. The resident received a call from a person claiming to be a grandchild in jail in Mexico and requested money for their bail. No money was sent and no grandchild was incarcerated. The Green River Police Department wants people to be aware of these repeated scams and advises residents to research the validity of these requests before sending money. In most cases money sent by Western Union and MoneyGram cannot be recovered once it is sent.

Robert Harris reported a hit and run collision involving his red 2005 Ford F-150 pickup while it was parked in the alley behind the Monroe Apartments on the 100 block of Monroe Ave. Anyone who has information involving this hit and run can call the Green River Police Department at 872-0555.

Officers took a nuisance property report on Sunset St.

Officers responded to the Office of Wyoming Department of Corrections, Probation, and Parole to administer a drug test to a probationer. Anthony Maestas, 29 years old of Rock Springs was arrested after the test provided a positive result for methamphetamines. Maestas was transported to the Sweetwater County Detention Facility and booked into jail.

Officers responded to a disturbance on Cumorah Way, but the people involved were gone on officers arrival.

Officers investigated a domestic dispute on S. Wagonwheel. The report was forwarded to the Sweetwater County Attorney’s Office.

Bonnie Ritter, 50 years old of Green River was arrested on the corner of Bridger Dr. and Hitching Post for Public Intoxication. Ritter was transported to the Sweetwater County Detention Facility and booked into jail.

Officers investigated a report of a driver passing a stopped school bus with its lights flashing and stop sign deployed. The incident occurred on Logan St. at Bramwell St. at about 1515 hours.
