Kenneth C Thurman, age 19, of Green River was arrested on 7/3/12 at 1:30 pm on Commerce Way on a warrant out of Municipal Court for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Hit and Run Unattended Property. Officers were dispatched to Adult Probation and Parole regarding a client that had an outstanding arrest warrant out of Municipal Court. Upon arrival officers confirmed the warrant, took Thurman into custody and transported him to jail.
Dustin Tankersley, age 22, of Green River was arrested on 7/4/12 at 01:44 am on E 4th S for Driving While Intoxicated. Tankersley was stopped for speeding and improper lane use and subsequent investigation showed he was intoxicated. Tankersley was taken into custody and transported to jail and a breath test showed his blood alcohol level was over the legal limit.
Anthony F Rodriguez, age 23, of Green River was cited for Open Container on 7/4/12 at 10:09 pm on Cumorah Way. Officers were investigating a report of Unlawful Use of Fireworks when Rodriguez was found with an open container of beer.
Garth T Pitts, age 27, of Green River was cited for Use of a Controlled Substance on 7/4/12 at 10:09 pm on Cumorah Way. Officers were investigation a report of Unlawful Use of Fireworks when Pitts was found to be in possession of a homemade pipe used to smoke illegal substances. Pitts admitted to smoking “Spice” this evening prior to police contact.
Brian D Owen, age 26, of Green River was cited Improper Registration and Driving While Suspended on 7/3/12 at 9:31 am on Uinta Drive. Owen was stopped for a registration violation and a driver’s license check showed his license to be suspended.
Officers investigated a crash in the parking lot at 420 Wilkes Drive when a pickup truck driven by Deryle Valerio backed into a car driven by Cody Muniz. Damage to both vehicles was estimated at under $1000 each and no injuries were reported.
Officers were dispatched to Wilderness Trail regarding a Malicious Mischief report when the victim advised the ratchet straps on his four wheeler trailer had been burned while parked at the RV storage at Pioneer Park. Officers took a report of a runaway on Uinta Drive when the mother of a 17 year old male reported him missing. The juvenile’s information was entered into a nationwide data base available to police and will be held until a guardian can pick him up if located.
Two backpacks were found at Rocky Mountain Car Wash and turned into the Police Department.

Officers were dispatched to a report of a brush fire on E Teton Blvd on 7/5/12 at 01:41 am. The reporting party advised he heard fireworks bouncing off his bedroom window and when he investigated he saw a patch of sage brush across from his residence on fire. He used his garden hose to spray down the fire in an effort to control the fire until the GRFD arrived to extinguish the blaze.
Officers assisted ambulance personnel on Uinta Drive with a 43 year old female suffering from dizziness and leg pains.

Officers responded to a business on W Flaming Gorge Way for a subject removal. The clerk at a convenience store advised a male subject is harassing customers and asking for a ride out of town. The suspect was contacted and given a trespass warning.
