Officers responded to a report of a lost child on South Wagonwheel Drive and Hitching Post Drive. Subsequent investigation showed a possible neglect situation and the Department of Family Services were contacted. Four juveniles were taken into protective custody and placed with a family member.
Officers investigated a crash at the GRHS parking lot when a 16 year old male backed a pickup truck into a car driven by Shyann Rood. Damage to the Rood car was estimated at over $1000 and under $1000 to the pickup truck driven by the 16 year old. Rood was transported to Memorial Hospital by a private vehicle and the 16 year old was cited for Inattentive Driving.
Officers took a report of Identity Theft on Riverview Drive when the victim learned someone in California has been using her social security number for over ten years.
Officers investigated a report of a Hit and Run Crash on Cumorah Way when an unknown vehicle struck a mailbox. A possible suspect and vehicle have been identified and the investigation is ongoing at this time.
Officers were dispatched to a dog at large on Juniper Street; the owner was identified and the dog was secured at the owner’s residence.
Officers assisted Fire Department personnel on E 3rd S with a garage fire.
Officers investigated a suspicious vehicle parked in front of a business on W Flaming Gorge Way. The business was checked and found to be secure.
Officers responded to a report of a barking dog on S Dakota Street; the owner could not be contacted and a note regarding the complaint was left at the residence.
Animal Control Officers responded to a report of a stray cat on Colorado Drive; a kitten was impounded.
Animal Control Officers responded to a report of a dog at large at the Senior Citizens Center; a brown pit bull type dog was impounded.
Animal Control Officers responded to a report of a skunk in a trap on Faith Drive. The animal was relocated and released.
