Cody Ryan, age 18, of Green River was arrested on 5/8/12 at 09:10 hours on Commerce Way for Use of Marijuana. Officers were dispatched to Probation and Parole offices on Commerce Way to witness a drug test on a client. Ryan provided a urine sample which tested positive for marijuana. Ryan admitted to using marijuana and gave a written statement admitting to the violation his probation. He was arrested and transported to jail.
Kyle Kinser, age 26, of Green River was cited for Driving While Suspended on 5/8/12 at 20:40 hours on W Flaming Gorge Way. Kinser was stopped for a registration violation and a driver’s license check showed his Texas driver’s license to be suspended.
Officers were dispatched to a report of a fight in progress at Stratton Myer Park on 5/8/12 at 22:13 hours. Officers spoke with two males, Christopher Johnson, age 18, and Anthony J Hurt, age 18, and learned Johnson and Hurt were involved in a fight and Hurt received injuries to his head and face. An ambulance was dispatched to the scene and Hurt refused treatment but was advised he needed stitches to close the wounds he received during the fight by ambulance personnel. Johnson was arrested and transported to jail and booked in for Fighting in Public and Underage Consumption of Alcohol. Hurt, because of his injuries was cited and released for the same offenses. Hurt advised he would get a ride to the hospital to have his wounds treated.
Officers investigated a report of a Malicious Mischief on Bridger Drive when the owner of a maroon 2012 GMC Acadia reported someone broke off the antennae on his vehicle while parked at the Smith’s store parking lot. Anyone with information please call the GRPD at 872-0555.
Animal Control Officers responded to a report of a Great Dane dog at large on Jefferson Street at Schultz Street. The dog ran home when officers arrived and the owner was given a warning.
Animal Control Officers took a report of a lost Beagle type dog on Evans Street.
Animal Control Officers responded to a report of Nuisance Animals on Uinta Drive. The reporting party was complaining of barking dogs; the owner was contacted and warned.
A juvenile problem was reported on Expedition Island; the complainant advised there were teens jumping off the Trona Bridge and using profane language. Several juveniles were contacted and officers were unable to determine if they were the same juveniles causing the problem.
Officers assisted Fire Department personnel with a report of a grass fire ¾ of a mile southwest of the end of Riverview Drive.
