On April 5th, at about 1530 hours an officer stopped a vehicle for speeding in the FMC Park area. During the traffic stop tobacco products were confiscated from underage persons in the vehicle. Also located was paraphernalia associated with the use of controlled substances and suspect controlled substances. Investigation is continuing.
Officers investigated a report of a domestic battery on Barnhart St. The victim reported being pushed down a flight of concrete stairs which resulted in injury to both ankles and an elbow. Victim was taken to the Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County. The suspect has not been located.
Officers responded to an address on Riverview to a report of a verbal domestic at about 2253 hours. One of the persons involved was damaging property inside the dwelling. There was no complaint or indication of personal injury, parties separated for the rest of the night.
ACO retrieved a trap set on 2nd North set to catch at large, nuisance animals. The animal was taken to the animal shelter.
Officers assisted Adult Probation Parole at 140 Commerce Way.
ACO assisted a citizen in catching one of their dogs who had run away.
Officers responded to the 200 block of East Flaming Gorge because the sidewalk was being blocked by motorcycles being parked on the sidewalk and blocking pedestrian traffic. The motorcycles were moved upon request.
Officers responded to a 911 call an address on Alaska. The call was accidental.
ACO responded to addresses on Wind River, Knotty Pine, and Iowa to dogs running around those neighborhoods. The owners were located and informed of the city ordinance prohibiting dogs to run at large.
ACO responded to a nuisance animal on South Carolina. The caretaker of the animals was contacted and the problem was resolved.
