A report of an attempted Fraud was taken on Cedar Street when the reporting party advised he received a telephone call from a male with an East Indian accent advising he was calling to help fix his computer. The caller said Microsoft had contacted him to call the victim about his computer troubles. The caller wanted the reporting party to type in a particular internet address and then the caller could help with the trouble. The reporting party told the caller he had no computer trouble and hung up and then called police.
A report of Suspicious Circumstances was taken at the PD when the reporting party advised she was contacted by email concerning an ad she placed on KSL Classifieds. The reporting party became suspicious of the subject who sent the e-mail and his name, Henry Edward, and learned he was flagged for online fraud. The reporting party did not lose any money and just wanted to report the incident to police.
Officers assisted Fire Department personnel on W Flaming Gorge Way with a report of a fan smoldering in a Room at the Super 8 Motel.
A report of a juvenile problem was taken at Washington School.
A report of Animal Cruelty was investigated on Monroe Ave when a third party called to advise a neighbor left their dog outside in the weather without shelter. The owner was contacted and issued warning.
Officers assisted ambulance personnel on Daniel Boone Drive with a 71 year old female suffering from shortness of breath and tightening in the chest.
