Animal Control Officers impounded a small black and white heeler mix breed dog that was running at large at the Green River Public Works building at 325 E. Teton Blvd.

Animal Control Officers investigated a nuisance animal report on Cedar Circle.

Animal Control Officers investigated a report of a downed horse on the 400 block of E. 5 S.

Officers investigated a parking complaint on the 500 block of Waggener St. The vehicle was marked for five day parking enforcement.

Officers investigated a parking complaint on Bridger Dr. near E. Teton Blvd. The vehicle was marked for five day parking enforcement.

Officers were dispatched to Clark St. and Barnhart St. to a report of a citizen on a four wheeler plowing snow into the street causing a traffic hazard. A city street’s department snowplow was able to clear up the problem.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to the Oak Tree Inn and impounded a dog that had been running at large in the area.

Officers assisted a citizen at the police department who was having difficulty with the sale of an item on ebay. A report was written to document the problem.

Officers and ambulance personnel were dispatched to 320 Mansface to a medical alarm. The alarm was accidentally activated during construction at that location.

Officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of W. Flaming Gorge to a report of an abandoned vehicle. The vehicle was tagged for removal.

Officers were dispatched to the alley behind 151 E. Flaming Gorge to a report of a drunk subject. Officers arrived in the area and soon located Tosten Flaten, 25 years old of Green River. Flaten was arrested for public intoxication, Interference with a Peace Officer, and an outstanding Natrona County Arrest Warrant for probation violation of an original charge of alcohol consumption. Flaten initially tried to give officers a fictitious name to apparently avoid being arrested for the Natrona County warrant. After Flaten was arrested, he was transported to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and booked into jail to face the Green River Municipal Court charges and eventual transport back to Natrona County to face the probation violation charges.

Officers were dispatched to a dirt road near the Riverview Cemetery to a wrecked vehicle. Officers found no one around the vehicle and found no crash scene, so the vehicle was tagged as abandoned.

Officers took an accident report that occurred earlier in the day between a Rock Springs Jackson Bus Lines bus driven by Dan Larsen, 57 years old of Green River and 2006 Mitsubishi Montero driven by Debra Thaler, 55 years old of Green River. The drivers exchanged information at the crash scene and made the police report later. There were minor damages to both vehicles.

Officers were dispatched to a reported hit and run at E. Teton and Bridger drive. Kristina Ponce, 31 years old of Greeley, Colorado reported she was tail gated by a white Ford pickup that eventually struck the rear of Ponce’s Honda CRV when she slowed to make turn on to Bridger Drive and then left the area. Officers found Mattew McKinney, 33 years old of Green River, the registered owner of the white Ford pickup who claimed he was at home at the time of the collision. The case has been referred to the city prosecuting attorney for charges.

Officers investigated an anonymous report of citizen’s plowing snow in a manner to block mailboxes on Riverview Drive. Officers found no obvious violations or problems in the area.

Officers assisted a citizen on Iowa Circle. A citizen was watching a house for a friend who was away for the holidays and found fresh shoe tracks in the snow leading to the house. Officers checked the house and found it secure.

Officers were dispatched to a residence on Arkansas Dr. to investigate a report of harassment. During the investigation it was learned the resident at that address had an active Sweetwater County arrest warrant. Trista James, 22 of Green River was arrested on an active Sweetwater County misdemeanor warrant for Larceny. James was arrested without incident and transported to the Sweetwater County Detention Facility and booked into jail.

Officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of W. Teton Blvd. to a U-Haul truck blocking traffic. The truck was stuck in a snow drift. Officers directed traffic around the U-Haul while a neighbor was able to pull the U-Haul free.

Officers were dispatched to a residence on Massachusetts Ct. to investigate a malicious report. The caller reported being followed home by two male subjects in another car. When the caller exited her vehicle, one of the two male shot the caller’s vehicle with a paint ball gun. Officers later located the two male subjects who admitted to the incident. The officers confiscated a paint ball gun and forwarded the case to the city prosecutor for charges.

Officers were dispatched to 1750 Hitching Post Dr. to a parking complaint. Officers spoke with the persons involved and the problem was resolved.

Officers were dispatched to a report of a drunk subjects in the area of N. 2 E. and E. Flaming Gorge. The subjects were located trying to get a motel room nearby. The subjects eventually got a cab and returned to Rock Springs.
