Officers were dispatched to the area of E. Teton and Bridger Drive to a report of a suspicious circumstances. Officers arrived and found a male subject was feeling ill who was trying to get to the hospital emergency room. EMT’s were called to the scene to access the victim. The male subject refused transport to the hospital by ambulance and continued on his own to seek medical assistance.
Officers assisted ambulance personnel at a residence on the 700 block of Crossbow to a report of an 84 year old female who had fallen down and injured herself. The victim was transported to the Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County for treatment.
Officers were dispatched to the area of Harrison School for a parking complaint. A citation was issued for a vehicle left parked in a no parking zone.
Officers were dispatched to the 900 block of Hitching Post for a parking complaint. The owner of the vehicle received a warning.
Officers were dispatched to the School District Number 2 bus barn to investigate a report of a vehicle passing a stopped school bus with its red lights flashing and stop sign extended.
Officers were dispatched to a business on Uinta for a theft. As the officers investigated it was determined no crime had occurred.
Officers were dispatched to Harrison School for a report of a missing 6 year old child. The child got on the wrong school bus and was picked up at the bus barn by the parents.
Officers were dispatched to the School District Number 2 bus barn for a report of a vehicle passing a stopped school bus with its red lights flashing and stop sign extended.
Animal Control Officers were dispatched to the 2200 block of Pennsylvania to a report of a dog at large. The dog was not located.
Officers assisted the fire department at a residence N. 6 W. after a neighbor alerted the home owner of sparks coming from the backyard of the residence. There was no structure damaged just an apparent electrical fault.

Alexandria Dietsche, 18 years old was arrested at the office of Wyoming Probation and Parole for submitting a positive urinalysis for marijuana use. Dietsche was transported to the Sweetwater County Detention Facility and booked into jail.
Officers were dispatched to the west end of W. 2 S., near the UPRR underpass to a REDDI report. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.
Officers were dispatched to a business on E. Flaming Gorge to a domestic dispute. There were no signs of physical violence. The parties were advised and released.

Steven Smith, 20 years old of Green River was arrested for Malicious Mischief, Underage Consumption of Alcohol, Resisting Arrest, and Hit and Run. Officers had been called to the scene of a hit and run on Monroe Ave. near Hitching Post and were investigating and collecting evidence at the scene when they observed a damaged vehicle fleeing the scene at a high rate of speed. Officers initiated a vehicle pursuit that continued through some residential areas of the south side of Green River until the driver stopped on Wyoming and fled from his vehicle. The driver attempted to jump a fence at a private residence to evade capture, but damaged the fence. Officers caught the driver in the backyard of the residence where the driver resisted arrest and struggled to try to break free from the officers. Once in custody the driver was identified as Smith. Smith was then transported to the Sweetwater County Detention Facility where he was booked into jail. Smith was cited into Green River Municipal Court for each of his offenses. The case has been referred to the City Prosecuting Attorney.
Corey Vanvalkenburg, 41 years old of Green River was arrested for Public Intoxication. Officers were on Monroe Ave. investigating the earlier hit and run when a late model gray pickup passed the investigating officer at a high rate of speed. Another officer was called to the area and given the direction of travel of the gray pickup. The responding officer found a gray pickup parked on the side of the street with a male subject standing outside a gray pickup matching the earlier vehicle description. As this officer approached the male subject began walking away, but returned to the officer’s location. Officers recognized the male subject as Vanvalkenburg who displayed signs of intoxication. Vanvalkenburg was transported to the Sweetwater County Detention Center where he was booked into jail.
Officers were dispatched to a 911 hang up at a residence on Clearview Drive. Officers found no one home and the residence appeared abandoned.
Officers responded to an alarm at a business on Uinta Dr. The alarm was determined to have malfunctioned.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to a business to a report of a cat stuck inside a truck. Animal Control Officers were able to remove a cat from a compartment under a truck and impounded the cat.
Officers responded to a burglar alarm at a residence on Alamosa Circle. The alarm was set off accidentally.

Officers were dispatched to a residence on the 1000 block of Davy Crockett to a 911 hang up. The cause of the call was telephone line problems.

Officers investigated a traffic accident at E. 2 S. and S. 3 E. Michaela Brice, 19 years of Green River was driving north on S. 3 E. and failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection at E. 2 S. and was struck broadside by a pickup driven by Glenn Wood, 53 years old of Green River. Brice was transported to the Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County for treatment of injuries she received in the crash. The case has been referred to the Sweetwater County Attorney’s Office for possible charges.
Officers were dispatched to an accident at Bridger Drive and Hitching Post. Thomas Schultz, 39 of Green River was making a left turn onto Bridger Drive in his 2004 Chevrolet Silverado when he struck 1995 Toyota Camry driven by Kenneth Sharp, 62 years old of Green River. Sharp was stopped at the stop sign on Bridger Drive at the time of the collision. Sharp’s vehicle received damages estimated at over $1000 and was towed from the scene.

Officers conducted an citizen assist on Nolan St.
Officers were dispatched to Veteran’s Park to a report of a dog at large. The officers were unable to catch the border collie.
Animal Control Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of W. Virginia Place to a dog at large report. The Animal Control Officers were unable to catch the dog and eventually lost sight of the dog.
Officers investigated a hit and run report on Hackberry St., but the collision actually occurred in the parking lot of Buckaroos Restaurant.
Animal Control Officers were dispatched to Indian Hills Park and Uinta Dr. to a report of a dog at large. The dog was impounded.
Officers assisted the Green River Fire Department at a residence on the 600 block of Jefferson where a heater was left on and melted part of a vehicle in a garage there. No injuries were reported and damaged was limited to the vehicle and heater.

Officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of S. Carolina Circle to a two vehicle crash. Peggy Beckum, 65 years old of Green River side swiped a parked car. Damage to both vehicles estimated at less than $1000.
Scott Covert, 52 years old of Iona, Idaho was arrested for DWUI, no proof of insurance, and hit and run after officers were dispatched to the intersection of Wyoming 374 and W. Flaming Gorge to a hit and run where a stop sign was knocked down. The caller witnessed the crash and
provided responding officers a description of the vehicle involved and the direction the vehicle fled in. Covert was found driving east on Flaming Gorge in his 2004 Dodge pickup with fresh damage to the front of the pickup. Officers stopped Covert and arrested him. Covert was transported to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and booked into jail.
Animal Control Officers were dispatched to report of a dog at large on the 2400 block of W. Teton Blvd. The dog was impounded.
