Officers were dispatched to the Hampton Inn to investigate a reported hit and run accident. Officers found only minor damages to a white Chevrolet Traverse that had been parked in the business parking lot over night and were unable to determine if the damages occurred in the parking lot or not.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to a report of dogs running at large on the 2100 block of W. Teton. Two dogs were located and impounded.

Officers investigated a harassment report at a business on the 100 block of Uinta.

Officers assisted a citizen who came to the police department with questions about a civil matter.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to the 2400 block of Mississippi St. to a report of a dog at large. A dog was located and impounded.

Officers investigated a threats report at a business on Uinta Dr.

Officers located a wanted suspect in a car as it left the city towards Rock Springs. Rodney Smith III, 20 years old of Green River was arrested in a vehicle he was riding in for an outstanding Sweetwater County arrest warrant charging Smith with forgery and conspiracy to commit forgery. Smith was transported to the Sweetwater County Detention Facility and booked into jail.

Officers received report of threats at the police department by a citizen.

Officers responded to a business on Bridger Drive to a report of a juvenile shoplifter being held there for police after the juvenile was witnessed concealing items and trying to leave the business without paying for the items. The juvenile was cited into Green River Municipal Court and released to a parent.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Ironwood in reference to a nuisance animal. A citation was issued.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Riverview Dr. to a barking dog complaint. A verbal warning was issued.

Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Uinta Drive to a report of children being left unattended in a vehicle. Officers located the parent in a nearby business who had been monitoring the children from inside the business.


Officers were dispatched to a two vehicle accident that occurred near Uinta and E. 2 S. A juvenile driver had completed a turn off of E. 2 S. and was southbound on Uinta when the 1993 GMC pickup collided with a Sweetwater County School District #2 bus driven by Jamie Hole, 32 years old of Green River. There were no injuries and damage to both vehicles was estimated at less than $1000.

Officers were dispatched to a neighborhood dispute on Hackberry. The parties involved were advised how to handle their differences.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to a dog at large call on South Dakota St. A dog was impounded.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to a dog at large call on Colorado Dr. A verbal warning was issued to the owner of the dog.

Officers were dispatched to a malicious mischief report on the 1400 block of Kentucky St. During the previous evening, someone scratched a silver 2006 Ford Fusion parked outside the residence. The investigation is continued.

Officers assisted a citizen with an animal complaint on the 1600 block of Wyoming.

Officers assisted a citizen on Cumorah Way.

Officers investigated a report of gunshots on E. 3 S. Officers were unable to locate the source of the gunshots.

Officers assisted ambulance personnel at a residence on Wilderness Dr. A 52 year old male who had recent surgery had a coughing attack. The subject was evaluated by EMT’s and determined not to need medical transport to the hospital.
