On May 4th at approximately 4:50 P.M. the Police Department received a call regarding an 11-year old male who left the Jackson School area on foot and could not be found. After a lengthy and extensive search, the subject was located and reunited with his family after dark, southeast of the school area along the river corridor. The Green River Police Department would like to thank the Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Department, Castle Rock Ambulance, Search and Rescue, search personnel and canines and all of the citizens who assisted in the search.
County deputies and volunteers from Sweetwater County Search & Rescue, including Ron Orr, Jeff Rasanen, Jon Lewis, Kevin Jakobowski, Eric Schillie, Chris Shutz, Neil Kourbelas, John Barry, Danielle Hemmert, Troy Nix, and Nancy Claman were involved in the search, as were search dogs handled by Major Dennis Claman of the Sheriff’s Office, Russ Hemmert, Jackie Nix, and Joyce Fett.


Patrick McCalvy reported damage to his vehicle while it was parked on South Third East. Damage was estimated at less than $1000.

Officers investigated a located runaway out of Utah and a found property report on Washakie.
