The Green River police department would like to warn our citizens of a possible scam involving non- payment of delinquent parking tickets. The male caller, which was possibly a recording, advised the victim she had unpaid parking tickets. The victim said she tried to ask the caller a question and the caller continued on like a recording. The victim then hung up. A check with the Sweetwater County Court and Green River Municipal Court confirmed they do not have a prerecorded message regarding unpaid parking tickets. The GRPD would like to remind our citizens not to give out personal information over the phone.

Officers investigated a report of a Battery at Lincoln Middle School when a 15 year old male assaulted another male student. The report was forwarded to the County Attorney for review.

An Auto Burglary report was taken on 3/30/11 when the victim reported $40 to $50 dollars stolen from his wallet. The wallet was in his red 2010 Chevrolet pickup truck that was parked in front of the LDS Seminary building on Shoshone Ave. The victim stated his truck was locked at the time of the theft. Anyone with information please call the GRPD at 872-0555.

A Larceny report was taken at the Flaming Gorge Loaf and Jug when the driver of a tan passenger car pumped $49.93 of gas into his vehicle and left without paying. The reporting party advised the same person in the same car had pumped $41.00 in gas the previous day and left without paying. The reporting party described the suspect at as a Hispanic male and gave a partial license plate of J 64 on an out of state plate.

A Larceny report was investigated on W Flaming Gorge Way when a package containing an Apple I Pad was taken from the office at the Oak Tree Inn. The theft occurred on 3/29/11 and was reported on 4/01/11. Anyone with information please call the GRPD at 872-0555.

An Interference with Custody report was taken on Alabama Street and was forwarded to the County Attorney’s office for review.

Officers investigated a traffic crash on Bridger Drive at the intersection of South Dakota Drive when a car driven by Courtney Morehouse struck the rear of a truck driven by Christal Dunn. Damage to the car driven by Morehouse was estimated at over $1000 and under $1000 to the truck driven by Dunn. Dunn and her passenger were transported to Sweetwater County Memorial Hospital. Morehouse was cited for Inattentive Driving.

A wallet belonging to Aaron Dressen was found on E Railroad Street was turned in to the GRPD.

A rifle found near Ten Mile Road was turned in to the GRPD.


Juvenile problems were reported on Colorado Drive and also on Andrews Street.

Officer assisted ambulance personnel on Monroe Ave.

Suspicious Circumstances were reported on Monroe Ave.
