[ARCHIVED] Snow removal crews to local citizens: We need your help

To prevent inadvertently creating a driving hazard we ask that you pile snow next to your driveway or on your lawn. Please do not push snow on to the street or alley.

Public Works Crews have a responsibility to keep roads clear and safe. With the large numbers of 4-wheelers with plows and contractors clearing business parking lots we are having a hard time keeping the streets clear under our current budget constraints.

Pushing snow into a driveway opening or along a parked car is often unavoidable as city crews work to keep streets passable. Please don’t take it personally and throw that snow back onto the street creating a driving hazard for the traveling public.

If you have further concerns or require special assistance, please call the Streets Division at 872-0564.
