| Officers met with a resident in regards to a report of obtaining property by false pretense. The |

| reporting party advised about a month prior they called a number that popped up on their computer |
| screen to assist them with a computer virus. The resident paid for the service and was later contacted |
| by an individual claiming to be from the company that provided the computer service. The individual |
| later called the resident and told them their main frame computer crashed and they would refund the |
| resident's money. |
|
|
|
|
| The individual accessed the resident's computer while they watched and instructed the resident to log |
| into their bank and provided a refund for over the amount. The individual instructed the resident to |
| purchase Google cash cards from a local store and give the information to the caller. |

| Officers completed a report regarding the incident, which is under investigation. |
