Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:
The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on August 25, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on
August 26, 2014:
Officers responded to an address on Hitching Post Drive, in regards to a report of vandalism. The reporting party stated items at the address had been damaged. Officers completed a report about the incident.
Officers completed VIN inspections at the Green River Police Department and at addresses on: Maryland Drive, Juniper Street, South Carolina Drive, and West Teton Boulevard.
Animal Control Officers responded to the area of Andrews Street, in reference to an animal call. The reporting party stated a skunk had been seen in the area of school bus stops. The reporting party was advised a trap could be provided to catch the skunk.
Officers contacted a resident by telephone who wanted to report an assault. The reporting party stated they had been assaulted over the weekend by an individual. Officers completed an initial report and the case is under investigation.
Officers responded to an address on East Teton Boulevard, in regards to a report of vandalism. The reporting party stated there was damage to a fence on the property.
Officers contacted an individual by telephone that had questions, regarding harassing Facebook posts.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Evers Street, in reference to a two vehicle crash. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with the involved parties and determined a vehicle backing out of a driveway struck a vehicle pulling into the driveway.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Wild Horse Canyon Road, in reference to a fire alarm. Upon arrival, Officers contacted an employee who stated the alarm was pulled to test the alarm. Officers advised the employee on how to test the alarm in the future.
Officers responded to an address on Wilson Street, regarding a larceny. The larceny was determined to be a civil issue regarding property.
Officers responded to the Adult Green River Probation and Parole Office, regarding an agency assist.
Animal Control Officers responded to the area of Mississippi Street, in regards to a report of a dog at large. The dog was described as a Jack Russell Terrier mix.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Colorado Drive, regarding a parking complaint. The reporting party stated a piece of heavy equipment was blocking the sidewalk. Officers contacted a responsible party who moved the equipment.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Elk Mountain Circle, in regards to a report of a dog at large. The dog was described as a Bulldog with a collar and no tags.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive, regarding a report of a dog at large. Animal Control Officers were unable to locate the dog.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Hitching Post Drive, in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers contacted a group of people involved in a verbal dispute regarding civil issues.
Officers responded to an address on Knotty Pine Street, in reference to a report of vandalism. The reporting party stated a window at the residence was damaged sometime during the past few days. Officers completed a report regarding the incident.
Officers responded to an address on Bridger Drive, in regards to an emergency lockout.
Officers responded to an address on Clark Street, in reference to a report of a possible fraud. The reporting party stated there were unauthorized charges to a credit card from a business claiming to be a credit reporting company. A report was completed about the incident and it is under investigation.
Officers responded to an address on South Wagonwheel Drive, in regards to a report of threatening text messages.
Officers contacted an individual by telephone that had questions regarding a relative.
Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on West Teton Boulevard.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Commerce Way, in reference to a report of a suspicious person. Officers contacted the individual, who needed assistance and was taken to the hospital in a personal vehicle.
Officers responded to an address on Evans Street, regarding a welfare check. Officers contacted the individual who was reported to be okay.
Officers were dispatched to the area of North 5th West, in reference to a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officers were unable to locate the described vehicle.
Officers responded to unsecured properties on Homestead Drive and Railroad Avenue. Officers checked the properties, secured the properties and reported everything appeared okay.
