Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:

The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on June 13, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on June 14, 2014:

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby, in regards to a report of identity theft. The reporting party was contacted by the IRS and was advised to file a police report. A report was completed about the incident.

Officers completed VIN inspections at the Green River Police Department and at addresses on: Uinta Drive, West Teton Boulevard, Rhode Island Place, Hitching Post Drive, West Flaming Gorge Way and East 2nd North.

Officers responded to an address on Clark Street, in reference to a report of nuisance property.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, in regards to a report of an animal call involving a baby bird.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, in reference to an alarm. Upon arrival, Officers reported everything was okay and the alarm was a malfunction.

Officers spoke with a resident by telephone that had civil questions regarding a business transaction.

Officers responded to the area of Arapahoe Circle, in regards to a traffic complaint. The reporting party had concerns over a small child riding a four wheeler in the street.

Officers responded to the area of Upland Way, in reference to found property. The reporting party found a wallet that did not have any identification inside.

Officers were dispatched to an address on North 4th West, in regards to a report of an unsecured property. Officers checked the property, reported everything was okay and the property was secured.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on East 3rd South.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Daniel Boone, in regards to a report of a dog at large. Animal Control Officers located the white Pit-bull that was taken to the Green River Animal Shelter.

Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive, regarding a report of older kids picking on younger kids. Officers spoke with the group of kids.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Wilkes Drive, in reference to a report of two missing children. It was reported the juveniles were going to a park, but were not there and parents did not know where they were. The children were located and returned home.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Wilkes Drive, regarding a disturbance. Officers reported a verbal dispute occurred with one party leaving prior to Officers arrival.

Officers responded to an address on West Flaming Gorge Way, in regards to a report of lost property. The item was located and returned to the owner.

Officers responded to an address on Keith Drive, regarding a report of loud music. Officers checked the area and advised everything was quiet.

Officers contacted a juvenile in the area of Monroe Avenue. The juvenile was issued a citation for curfew and released to a parent.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on East Teton Boulevard.

The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on June 14, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on June 15, 2014:

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on South Wagonwheel Drive.

Officers assisted with a funeral escort form an address on Mansface Street.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Uinta Drive.

Officers assisted Wyoming Highway Patrol by locating a vehicle described in a traffic complaint on I-80.

Officers completed a VIN inspection at an address on Nevada Place.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Tigee Circle, in regards to a barking dog complaint. Animal Control Officers completed a report on the incident.

Officers located a dog at large on Monroe Avenue. The dog was described as a black Labrador retriever and was taken to the Green River Animal Shelter.
Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Indian Hills Drive.

Officers responded to an address on West Teton Boulevard, in reference to a report of a larceny. The reporting party stated the thought their wallet was stolen while shopping.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Wind River Drive, regarding a found dog. The dog was described as a large black and white dog. The dog was taken to the Green River Animal Shelter.

Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a traffic complaint on South Wagonwheel Drive.

Tessa Brangham, age 20, was arrested for Public Intoxication and Underage Consumption.

Officers contacted a juvenile in the area of Cliff View Drive. The juvenile reportedly snuck out of the house and was issued a citation for curfew and turned over to a parent.

Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a REDDI report on East 2nd South.

Officers were dispatched to an address on West Teton Boulevard, in regards to a noise complaint. Officers contacted the resident who turned their music down and received a warning for disturbing the peace.

Officers completed a report of vandalism on East Flaming Gorge Way. An unknown suspect uprooted numerous plants from pots along East Flaming Gorge Way.

The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on June 15, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on June 16, 2014:

Officers were dispatched to the area of East 2nd South, in reference to a report of vandalism. It was reported individuals were putting graffiti on the underpass.

Officers assisted a motorist on Uinta Drive, who reportedly ran out of fuel.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Bridger Drive, in regards to a report of a juvenile problem. Officers spoke with the juvenile and parent.

Officers responded to an address on Railroad Avenue, reference to a report of a stolen vehicle. The reporting party advised their vehicle was taken without permission by an unknown person and driven to another location in Green River and left. The reporting party advised the vehicle had been unlocked with the key in the vehicle. The reporting party reported nothing missing from the vehicle and no damage to the vehicle.

Animal Control Officers responded to the area of South 5th East, in reference to a report of two dogs at large. The dogs returned to their residence.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Easy Street, in regards to a traffic complaint. The reporting party stated a juvenile was riding an ATV in the area without a helmet and allowing other juveniles to ride on the vehicle.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Trail Drive.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Indian Hills Drive, regarding a barking dog complaint. Animal Control Officers heard dogs barking from two residences and completed a report on the incident.

Officers responded to an address on Cumorah Way, in reference to a citizen assist.

Officers responded to an address in South 5th West, in reference to a report of a scam. An unknown person contacted the reporting party representing a business. The reporting party provided the caller with personal information but reported no monetary loss at this time. A report was completed about the incident.

Officers responded to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a trespassing complaint. The individual left the property per the owner’s request.

Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a REDDI report on Uinta Drive.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Pennsylvania Boulevard, in reference to an injured bird.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Hillcrest Way, regarding a welfare check. Officers contacted the resident as well as the reporting party.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Maryland Drive, in reference to a report of property damage. The reporting party noticed damage to their vehicle and does not know when or where the damage occurred.

Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive, regarding a vehicle crash. It was reported one vehicle backed into a parked vehicle. Officers completed a report of the incident.

Officers responded to an address on East Teton Boulevard, in reference to a juvenile problem. The reporting party observed juveniles around an abandoned vehicle. Officers spoke with the juveniles and reporting party.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on West 2nd North.

Officers responded to an address on Waggener Street, in reference to an agency assist.

Officers responded to an address on Connecticut Place, regarding a barking dog complaint.

Officers responded to an address on Knotty Pine Street, in reference to a report of suspicious circumstances.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Knotty Pine Street, in regards to a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers reported a verbal dispute occurred at the residence.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Shoshone Avenue, in reference to a subject removal. Officers arrived on scene and through further investigation, Riley Winkler, age 39, were arrested for Unlawful Contact.

Officers responded to the area of Arizona Street, regarding a noise complaint. Officers checked the area and reported everything was quiet and saw no sign of damage.

Officers responded to an address on Mountain View Street, in regards to a report of suspicious activity. An unknown person knocked on the resident’s door and left.

Officers were dispatched to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival, Officers checked on the vehicle and reported the driver pulled over to rest.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Cumorah Way.
