Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:

The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on May 30, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on May 31, 2014:

Officers completed VIN inspections at the Green River Police Department and at addresses on: Jefferson Street, North Riverbend Drive, Juniper Street, Uinta Drive, West Teton Boulevard, Locust Street and Schultz Street.

Officers were dispatched to an address on South Wagonwheel Drive, regarding a civil standby regarding property.

Officers responded to an address on Illinois Court, in regards to a report of a damaged gas line.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Jefferson Street, in regards to a trespass warning. The reporting party wanted to lift a previously issued trespass warning for their property.

Officers responded to an address on West 3rd South, in reference to a nuisance property.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Ironwood Street, in regards to a report of an attempted telephone scam. The reporting party received a phone call from an individual claiming to be with a medical company inquiring about recent medical history. The reporting party researched the phone number the call came from (had a 516 area code) and determined the call to be a scam and did not release any personal information.

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby, regarding a citizen assist.

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby, in regards to a report of abuse.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Bridger Drive, in reference to a vehicle crash. It was reported a vehicle exiting a parking spot collided with a parked and unoccupied vehicle causing damage to the vehicle.

Officers took a call from an address on Uinta Drive, regarding a citizen assist.

Officers responded to an address on Powell Street, in reference to a report of a nuisance property. Officers completed a report regarding the incident.

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department, regarding found property. The owner of the property was located and the item returned.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to the area of Riverview Drive, in reference to a report of a dog at large. The dog’s owners were identified and the dog was returned.

Officers responded to an address on Pheasant Drive, in regards to a medical call.

Animal Control Officers responded to the area of East 2nd South, in regards to a report of a dog at large.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on East Teton Boulevard, in reference to a report of a dog bite.

Officers responded to an address on Honor Way, in regards to a noise complaint. Officers addressed the complaint with the resident.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Hitching Post Drive, regarding a found dog. Animal Control Officers picked up a female Yellow Lab.

Lacey Stumbaugh, age 24, was arrested for Driving While Under the Influence and Driving While Under Suspension.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Wilderness Trail, in regards to a report of harassment.

Officers responded to an address on Maryland Drive, regarding a citizen assist. The resident had questions regarding a trespass warning.

Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a noise complaint on South Carolina Drive.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Schultz Street, regarding a noise complaint. Officers contacted the resident who was given a warning for disturbing the peace.

Officers responded to an unsecured property on Wilkes Drive. Officers checked the area and reported everything was okay.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Virginia Circle, in regards to a report of a larceny.

The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on May 31, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on June 1, 2014:

Officers were dispatched to an address on Evans Street, in reference to a report of a vicious dog. The dog reportedly followed and tried to attack the individual who was walking by.

Officers took a call on West Teton Boulevard, in regards to a citizen assist involving a neighbor dispute.

Officers responded to an address on Maryland Drive, regarding a citizen assist.

Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a REDDI report from I-80 coming into Green River.

Officers were dispatched to an address on West Flaming Gorge Way, in regards to a report of harassment. The reporting party advised they have been receiving harassing phone calls.

Animal Control Officers responded to the area of Wind River Drive, in reference to a report of a small black and white dog at large.

Officers were dispatched to an address on East Teton Boulevard, in regards to found property.

Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive, regarding a citizen assist.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Riverview Drive, in reference to a dog at large. Animal Control Officers contained the dog and contacted the owner.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on California Drive.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on East 3rd South.

Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a REDDI report on I-80 coming into Green River.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Wilson Street, in reference to an animal call. Animal Control Officers impounded a pot belly pig.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Hawaii Court, in regards to found dogs. The dogs were described as a Boxer and Lab mix.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Bridger Drive, in regarding a noise complaint of loud music from a vehicle. Officers contacted the driver and addressed the complaint.

Officers assisted a motorist on Uinta Drive, who ran out of fuel.

Officers were dispatched to an address on North Center Street, in regards to a noise complaint. Officers contacted the resident who was advised of the complaint of loud music.

Officers responded to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a report of a juvenile problem. It was reported older kids were harassing younger kids. Officers spoke with parties involved.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Cliff View Drive, in regards to a report of juveniles shooting bb guns. The reporting party had concerns of property damage as a result of the bb guns. Officers spoke with the juveniles who were advised of the city ordinance regarding shooting bb guns in city limits.

Officers responded to an address on Railroad Avenue, regarding a disturbance. Two individuals had a dispute, in which they reportedly resolved.

Rodney Connolly, age 31, was arrested for Driving While Under the Influence (4th offense), Driving While Under Suspension, Interference With a Peace Officer and Driving Without an Interlock Device.

Officers were dispatched to an address on West Teton Boulevard, in regards to a report of a suspicious person near a vehicle. Officers were not able to locate the individual but reported everything with the vehicle was okay.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Railroad Avenue, in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers were advised an altercation occurred and contacted involved parties. Travis Starner, age 35, was arrested for Public Intoxication and Interference With a Peace Officer.

The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on June 1, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on June 2, 2014:

Officers responded to an address on Maryland Drive, regarding a citizen assist.

Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Bridger Drive and East Teton Boulevard, in reference to a two vehicle crash. It was reported a vehicle traveling east on Bridger Drive failed to stop for the stop sign and struck a vehicle traveling south on East Teton Boulevard. A citation was issued for Failure to Stop at a Posted Stop Sign.

Officers responded to an address on Virginia Circle, in regards to a report of a runaway. The reporting party advised a juvenile left the residence without permission.

Officers completed VIN inspections at addresses on: West Teton Boulevard, Hutton Street, Firehole Place and Wilkes Drive.

Animal Control Officers took an animal call from an address on Oklahoma Drive. Animal Control Officers completed a report regarding the incident.

Officers responded to an address on Bridger Drive, in reference to a medical call.

Officers were dispatched to an address on East 4th South, in regards to a found property. A wallet was found and turned over to the Green River Police Department.

Animal Control Officers located a dog at large on Arizona Street. The animal was described as a black poodle and was taken to the Green River Animal Shelter.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Bridger Drive.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Faith Drive, in regards to a report of a skunk caught in a trap.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Mountain View Drive, in reference to a welfare check.

Officers responded to an address on Cumorah Way, regarding a citizen assist.

Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a REDDI report on East 2nd North. Officers came across a vehicle crash, in which a vehicle struck two parked utility trailers and mobile home. Chelsea King, age 21, was arrested for Driving While Under the Influence.

Animal Control Officers responded to the area of Hitching Post Drive, in regards to a report of a medium sized brown dog at large.

Officers were dispatched to an address on East Railroad Avenue, in reference to a report of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was located in Uinta County, a person is in custody and the case is being further investigated.

Officers responded to an address on Mansface Street, in reference to a civil matter regarding custody issues.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Conestoga Lane.

Officers contacted an individual on Cumorah Way, who had civil questions regarding custody issues.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Virginia Circle, in reference to a report of threatening phone calls. Officers completed a report about the incident.

Officers responded to an address on Clark Street, in regards to a report of a juvenile problem. Officers contacted the juveniles who were advised of the complaint and warned for curfew.
