Officers identified a suspect in a hit and run crash that was reported on 6/8/10 on Medicine Bow Drive. Officers located a suspect vehicle with damage consistent with the crash and contacted the owner of the vehicle. Officers subsequently determined Justina Johnson, age 27, of Green River had was responsible for the crash. Johnson was issued citations for hit and run as well as failure to properly secure a parked vehicle.
Officers responded to a traffic crash on Uinta Drive on 6/10/10 at 0600 hours. Officers determined contact was made by one car parking too closely to another. Minor damage to one vehicle was found. The driver of the second vehicle has not yet been contacted.
Officers responded to a traffic crash on Uinta Drive on 6/11/10 at 1220 hours. A subject reported striking a light pole while backing from a parking place causing less than $1000 damage.
Officers investigated a burglary reported on Monroe Ave on 6/11/10 at 1401 hours. The incident involved several items being stolen from a storage shed. Investigation is ongoing.
Officers investigated a traffic crash on West Teton Blvd. on 6/11/10 at 1445 hours. The crash occurred as one vehicle was attempting to drive around another that was stopped in traffic and collided with the stopped vehicle causing damage in excess of $1000. One driver was cited for inattentive driving.
Officers investigated a traffic crash on Uinta Drive on 6/11/10 at 1633 hours. The crash occurred when one vehicle slowed for a yellow traffic light. The driver behind the stopping vehicle did not notice the light and was unable to stop before colliding with the stopping vehicle. The collision resulted in more than $1000 damage. One driver was cited for inattentive driving.
A larceny was reported on Monroe Ave on 6/11/10 at 1906 hours. A bicycle was taken from a residence during the night. Officers have not located the bicycle at this time.
Officers observed two subjects standing by vehicles in a church parking lot on West Teton Blvd. on 6/12/10 at 0138 hours. Officers contacted the subjects and identified them as Jack Covington, age 19, of Green River and Michael Cummings, age 20, of Green River. While speaking with the subjects, officers noticed alcohol on their breath. Both subjects admitted to having consumed alcohol and were issued citations for underage consumption.
Officers responded to a burglary on Davy Crockett Drive on 6/12/10 at 0511 hours. The victim reported several items had been taken from a vehicle parked in front of the victim’s residence during the night. Investigation into the incident is ongoing.
Officers responded to a larceny on East Flaming Gorge Way on 6/13/10 at 0755 hours. A male subject approximately 45 years old driving a while Chevrolet pickup took $53.45 in gasoline and left without paying. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle or driver.
Officers responded to a credit card fraud on South Riverbend Blvd. on 6/13/10 at 1112 hours. The victim reported her credit card information was used to make Internet purchases without her knowledge or consent. Investigation into the incident is ongoing.
Officers responded to a shoplifting on Bridger Drive on 6/11/10 at 2313 hours. A subject had been seen taking a barbeque grill without paying for it. Witnesses provided a license plate number of the vehicle involved. Officers located the vehicle with the grill still in the bed of the truck approximately five minutes later. The owner of the vehicle, Michael Crooks, age 57, of Green River admitted to taking the grill. At the victim’s request, Crooks paid for the grill and no charges are being sought.
Fred Oyler, age 51, of Green River was arrested for aggravated assault on 6/14/10 at 0141. Officers had been called to Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County on 6/13/10 at approximately 2150 hours and were advised that Fred Oyler had pointed a .22 cal. rifle at Sandra Oyler and threatened her earlier in the day.
Officers responded to a noise complaint on Davy Crockett on 6/13/10 at 22:16 and again to the same residence on 6/14/10 at 0050. A juvenile who lives at the residence was issued a citation for disturbing the peace on each occasion.
