Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:

The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on April 24, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on April 25, 2014:

Officers were dispatched to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, in regards to a report of a disturbance. The disturbance was in reference to a neighbor dispute.

John Martinez, age 52, was arrested per an active Sweetwater County Warrant for Failure to Abide by Conditions of Probation on an original charge of Driving While Under the Influence of Alcohol.

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby, in reference to a report of fraud. The reporting party made arrangements to purchase an item on KSL.com. The reporting party was told by the seller of the item to transfer funds to an account to hold the item. The seller then would meet the reporting party to complete the transaction. The seller did not complete the transaction and the reporting party suffered a monetary loss. The case is currently under investigation by the GRPD Detective Division.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Bridger Drive, in regards to a report of a larceny. Upon further investigation, it was determined a larceny had not occurred.

Officers completed VIN inspections at the Green River Police Department and an address on Arkansas Drive.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Wilkes Drive, in regards to a report of an abandoned vehicle. Officers tagged the vehicle as abandoned.

Officers responded to an address on Logan Street, in regards to a report of a parking complaint.

Officers responded to an address on Hitching Post Drive, in reference to a report of an underage person in possession of tobacco.

Officers were dispatched to an address on West Teton Boulevard, regarding a citizen assist.

Officers responded to an address on Hitching Post Drive, in reference to a report of parking complaints. Several vehicles were tagged with warnings for the violations.

Travis Esquibel, age 32, was arrested per an active Sweetwater County Warrant for Failure to Appear on an original charge of Failure to Provide Proof of Liability Insurance.

Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a suspicious vehicle complaint on Riverview Drive.

Officers responded to an address on Wilson Street, in reference to a noise complaint regarding loud music.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Apache Avenue, in regards to a report of harassment. The reporting party advised having received harassing text messages.

Officers were dispatched to an address on West Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a report of a disturbance. Branden Baker, age 22, was arrested for Disturbing the Peace.
