Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:
The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on April 7, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on April 8, 2014:
Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Moran Drive, in reference to an animal call.
Cheri Braden, age 35, was arrested for Driving While Under Suspension.
Officers transported an inmate from the Sweetwater County Detention Center to the Green River Municipal Court.
Officers responded to the Green River Police Department, in reference to found property. A resident turned in a set of keys found at Monroe Avenue and East Teton Boulevard.
Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Hitching Post Drive, in regards to a welfare check on two dogs. Animal Control Officers checked on the animals and reported everything was okay.
Officers completed VIN inspections at the Green River Police Department lobby and addresses on: West Flaming Gorge Way, Madison Avenue, East 4th South and Minnesota Court.
Officers responded to the Adult Green River Probation and Parole Office, in reference to an agency assist. At the office, Vicki Freeman, age 59, was arrested per an Arrest and Hold Order for a Probation Violation.
Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a traffic complaint on East Flaming Gorge Way.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Cedar Street, in reference to a call of an animal in a trap.
Officers were dispatched to an address on West Teton Boulevard, regarding a citizen assist.
Officers responded to Uinta Drive near Astle Avenue, in reference to a two vehicle crash. It was reported a vehicle struck the back of another vehicle after failing to stop at a traffic light.
Officers responded to the Green River Police Department, in reference to a report of a fraud. The reporting party advised they responded to an ad on Ebay of heavy equipment for sale. After further research the reporting party realized the item for sale was a scam. The reporting party did not report a monetary loss but stated the item for sale was reportedly from a resident in Green River. Officers checked records for the name given as a possible suspect in Green River and no match was found.
Officers responded to the Green River Police Department, in regards to a report of an assault that occurred about a month ago at an address on Monroe Avenue.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Bridger Drive, in regards to a report of property damage. The reporting party noted damage to a vehicle from an item being kicked and striking the vehicle.
Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a REDDI report on I-80, which exited into Green River.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Clark Street, in regards to a report of possible narcotic activity.
Officers responded to an address on Wilson Street, in reference to a fire alarm. Upon arrival, Officers reported everything was okay.
Officers were dispatched to the area of East 2nd North, in regards to a report of a hit and run vehicle crash. A vehicle was reported to be driving recklessly, hit a light pole and the driver left the scene.
Officers responded to an address on Wilderness Trail, in reference to a civil standby regarding custody issues.
Officers responded to an address on Hitching Post Drive, in regards to an unsecured property with an audible alarm. Officers checked the area and secured the property.
