Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:

The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on March 28, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on March 29, 2014:

Thera Siler, age 34, was arrested per an active Sweetwater County Warrant on original charges of Possession of Controlled Substance (methamphetamine and marijuana).

Animal Control Officers responded to the Municipal Horse Corrals on East Teton Boulevard.

Officers completed VIN inspections at the Green River Police Department and an address on West Teton Boulevard.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Hitching Post Drive, in regards to a report of a parking complaint. Officers addressed the complaint with the owner of the vehicle who advised they would take care of it.

Officers responded to an address on Bridger Drive, in reference to a found property. The owner of the property was identified and the property was returned.

Officers responded to an address on South Wagonwheel Drive, in regards to a civil standby.

Animal Control Officers responded to the Green River Animal Shelter, in reference to a found property.

Officers were dispatched to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, in regards to a report of a parking complaint. Officers tagged the vehicle for the parking complaint.

Officers responded to an address on West Teton Boulevard, regarding a citizen assist.

Officers responded to a call at an address on Delaware Place, in reference to a civil matter involving property.

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby, regarding a citizen assist.

Officers were dispatched to an address on South Center Street, in reference to a report of vandalism. The reporting party advised of damage to the windows of a vehicle.
Officers were dispatched to an address on West Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a fire alarm. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with a responsible party and determined the alarm was accidental.

Officers responded to an address on Mansface Street, in reference to assist on a medical call.

Officers responded to an address on Clearview Drive, in regards to a civil standby involving property.

Officers responded to an address on West Flaming Gorge Way, in regards to a civil standby involving a custody exchange.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Cumorah Way, in reference to a report of a fire. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with two juveniles and their parents regarding the juveniles starting a fire in a contained area that did not belong to them.

Officers were dispatched to the Green River Police Department, regarding a report of harassment.


The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on March 29, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on March 30, 2014:

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Wild Horse Canyon Road, in reference to a dog at large. Animal Control Officers located a small brown and white dog.

Officers responded to an address on Wild Horse Canyon Road, in regards to a 911 hang up call. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with a juvenile who called 911 and determined the call was accidental.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on South 5th East, in regards to a cat at large call.

Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive, in reference to a report of threatening phone calls.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Maryland Drive, regarding a citizen assist.

Officers responded to an address on Hitching Post Drive, in reference to a report of a fire. Damage was reported to a portable toilet and a storage building. The case is under investigation by GRPD detectives.

Officers were dispatched to an address on North 4th West, in regards to a report of an assault.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on West Flaming Gorge Way.

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department, in reference to a report of fraud. The reporting party stated an unknown person charged hundreds of dollars worth of international phone calls to their phone account.

Officers were dispatched to an address on West Teton Boulevard, in regards to a citizen assist.

Officers responded to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a report of malicious mischief. The reporting party advised of damage to their vehicle while it was parked outside.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on West 2nd North, in regards to an animal at large call. It was reported a large white dog chased a juvenile home and then the dog ran away.

Officers responded to the area of FMC Park, in regards to a traffic complaint.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on South Wagonwheel Drive, in regards to a large brown dog at large.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Hitching Post Drive, in reference to a citizen assist.

Officers were dispatched to an address on North 4th West, in regards to a civil standby. Officers later responded to the same address for a disturbance. At this time, a trespass warning was issued to two individuals for the property.

Officers responded to an address on Monroe Avenue, in reference to a vehicle crash. Upon arrival, Officers contacted parties involved who advised one vehicle backed into a parked and unoccupied vehicle causing minimal damage.

Officers responded to Scotts Bottom Road and contacted two juveniles out after curfew. The juveniles received citations for the curfew violation and their parents were contacted.


The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on March 30, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on March 31, 2014:

Officers were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, regarding found syringes.

Officers responded to an address on Wilkes Drive, in reference to a report of abuse. The incident had previously been reported and is under investigation.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Elm Street, in reference to a report of a hit and run. Upon further investigation it was determined accidental damage had occurred.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Wilkes Drive, in regards to a report of lost property and suspicious activity.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Bridger Drive.

Officers responded to an address on West Teton Boulevard, in regards to a citizen assist.

Officers responded to an address on Cumorah Way, in regards to a citizen assist.

Officers were dispatched to an address on East 2nd North, in reference to a report of larceny. The reporting party advised the tailgate was stolen off their vehicle.

Officers responded to an address on Maryland Drive, in regards to a report of trespassing.

Officers were dispatched to an address on North 2nd West, regarding a traffic complaint. It was reported juveniles were driving ATV’s in the street.

Officers responded to an address on Elk Mountain Drive, in reference to a fire alarm. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with the resident who reported everything was okay the alarm was set off by a cooking incident.

Officers responded to an address on New Hampshire Street, in regards to a medical call.

Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a REDDI report on Highway 530.
