Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:

The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on March 27, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on March 28, 2014:

Officers responded to an address on West Teton Boulevard, regarding a citizen assist.

Officers were dispatched to an address on West Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a report of an abandoned vehicle.

Officers responded to an address on Crossbow Drive, in regards to a civil matter involving child custody. A trespass warning was also issued to an individual for the property.

Officers completed VIN inspections at the Green River Police Department and addresses on East Teton Boulevard and Keith Drive.

Officers took a report of a stolen bicycle from an address on North 5th East.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Trona Drive, in reference to a civil standby. Officers also issued a trespass warning to an individual for the property.

Officers responded to an address on Monroe Avenue and served court summons.

Officers were dispatched to address on East Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a fraudulent webpage. The reporting party advised the webpage was set up falsely under their name.

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby, regarding a citizen assist.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Bridger Drive, in regards to a citizen assist involving civil issues.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Logan Street, in reference to a dog at large. Animal Control Officers located the dog and returned it to the owner, who received a warning.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Collier Circle, in regards to a report of an attempted scam. The reporting party received a phone call from an individual who claimed their grandchild was in jail in Mexico. The caller provided the grandchild’s name and requested money be wired to help the grandchild. Thanks to skepticism on the part of the reporting party and local businesses money was not sent and no financial loss occurred.

Animal Control Officers responded to the area of Wind River Drive, in regards to a report of a dog at large. The dog was described as a small black and white dog.

Officers responded to an address on Alabama Drive, in reference to a welfare check.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Hitching Post Drive.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Knotty Pine Street, regarding a suspicious telephone call. The phone call reportedly came from a power company advising of power usage in the residence.

Officers responded to an address on Logan Street, in reference to found property. The owner of the property was located and the items returned.

Officers were dispatched to an address on North 5th East, in regards to a report of a parking complaint. Officers contacted the owner of the vehicle and resolved the issue.

Animal Control Officers responded to the horse corrals, in reference to an animal call.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Wind River Drive.

Officers responded to the area of West Flaming Gorge Way, in regards to a traffic complaint. Officers contacted both parties involved and addressed the complaint.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Uinta Drive, in reference to a vehicle described in a REDDI report.
