Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:

The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on March 26, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on March 27, 2014:

Officers responded to an address on West Teton Boulevard, regarding a citizen assist.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Barnhart Street, in reference to a bird in the house.

Animal Control Officers took a report of a nuisance animal at an address on Indian Hills Drive.

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby, regarding a citizen assist.

Officers of the Green River Police Department are investigating a report of a sexual assault.

Officers were dispatched to the Green River Police Department, in regards to a possible phone scam. Upon further investigation, Officers determined the call was not a scam and the business was a legitimate business.

Animal Control Officers responded to the Horse Corrals on East Teton Boulevard, in reference to a welfare check. Animal Control Officers reported everything was okay.

Officers responded to an address on Wilkes Drive, regarding a report of lost property.

Officers were dispatched to an address on East 2nd South, in reference to a report of a fire. Upon arrival, Officers reported a resident was burning items and was advised of the city ordinance.

Officers were dispatched to an address on East Teton Boulevard, in reference to an agency assist. Officers assisted the Department of Family Services on a welfare check, regarding living conditions in the home.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Bridger Drive, in regards to a report of a school bus light violation. The reporting party observed the incident and reported children were in the process of exiting the bus, crossing the street and had to stop for the vehicle.

Officers responded to an address on Monroe Ave, in reference to an agency assist.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Mansface Street.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Bridger Drive, in regards to a civil dispute over property.

Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a traffic complaint on Uinta Drive.

Officers completed a VIN inspection at an address on Logan Street.

Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a REDDI report exiting into Green River from I-80.

Officers responded to an address on Hitching Post Drive, regarding an alarm. Officers advised the alarm was a test.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Wilkes Drive, in reference to an auto burglary. Upon arrival, Officers spoke to parties involved and determined the call to be a juvenile problem and trespass warnings were issued.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Shoshone Avenue, in regards to a report of an abandoned vehicle. Officers tagged the vehicle for the parking complaint.

Officers responded to an address on Cumorah Way, in reference to a report of suspicious activity. Upon arrival, Officers conducted a welfare check and reported everything was okay.

Officers responded to an address on Upland Way, in regards to a report of an attempted check fraud scam. The reporting party received two checks for payment for products for a home business. The reporting party was instructed to cash the checks and send the over payment back to the purchaser. The reporting party looked into it further and thought it was a scam and contacted the police.

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby, in reference to a civil issue regarding property.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Hillcrest Way, in regards to an abandoned 911 call. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with residents and determined the call was accidental.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Shoshone Avenue.

Officers responded to an address on Nolan Street, in reference to a report of suspicious activity. Officers contacted individuals and reported everything was okay.
