Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:
The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on March 24, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on March 25, 2014:
Officers responded to an address on Colorado Drive, in reference to a report of fraud. The reporting party advised when they attempted to file their tax return, they found out an unknown person already fraudulently filed a tax return in their name.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Illinois Court, in regards to found property. A bicycle was found by a resident and turned in to the police department. If you've lost a bicycle contact the Green River Police Department to see if this could be yours.
Officers responded to the Green River Police Department, in regards to a citizen assist.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Evers Street, in reference to a littering complaint. Officers arrived on scene and reported the debris had been picked up.
Shamra Zancanella, age 28, was arrested per an active Sweetwater County warrant for Failure to Pay on original charges of Driving While Under Suspension, Failure to Provide Liability Insurance and a Seatbelt Violation.
Officers were dispatched to an address on West Teton Boulevard, in regards to a previous reported trespass warning.
Officers responded to an address on Daniel Boone Drive, in reference to a civil standby.
Officers completed VIN inspections at the Green River Police Department and an address on Uinta Drive.
Officers responded to an address on Iowa Avenue, regarding a trespass complaint. The reporting party wanted a trespass warning issued for the property to an individual. Officers contacted the individual who was given the trespass warning.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Alabama Drive, in reference to a report of an auto burglary. The reporting party stated an unknown person stole items from inside a vehicle at the residence.
Officers responded to an address on Hillside Drive, in regarding a trespass warning.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on South 5th East, in reference to a report of a cat in a trap.
Officers were dispatched to an address on South 4th West, in regards to a welfare check. Officers checked on the individual and reported everything was okay.
Officers responded to an address on Indian Hills Drive, in reference to a civil matter regarding custody issues.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Jefferson Street, regarding a report of suspicious activity. Officers checked the property and reported it to be secured and contacted a responsible party for the property.
Officers responded to an address on Hitching Post Drive, in reference to an unsecured property. Officers checked the property, determined everything was okay and secured the property.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Mansface Street, in regards to a medical call.
