Starting the week of March 31, 2014, the City of Green River will begin construction on a water main replacement in the eastbound lane of Riverview Drive, between Fir Street and Uinta Drive. The work will also include the installation of a liner in the sanitary sewer main in roughly the same area. Water and sewer services within the impacted area will be replaced from the mains to the property lines. The excavation work will be trench and cap, meaning the entire street surface will not be replaced. The Contractor estimates this work will take about two months to complete.
During construction the eastbound lane of Riverview Drive will be closed to through traffic from Hackberry to Uinta. Through traffic will be diverted onto the westbound lane of Riverview, which will be striped and signed as a two-way street for this segment.
Parking will be available in front of homes and businesses for as long and as often as the work will allow. As the work progresses, on-street and driveway parking will become unavailable for a certain amount of time, but will become available again as the work progresses. We appreciate your patience as we work together to improve the City’s infrastructure.
Lewis & Lewis, Inc. is the Contractor for the project. Longhorn Construction will be doing the underground work. PEC will be installing the sewer lining. DeBernardi will be doing the concrete work.
Project updates will be available on the City’s website and Facebook page. Please visit www.facebook.com/pages/Green-River-Public-Works for updates on the project as it progresses. You can also call Public Works at 872-0528 for more information.
