Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:

The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on March 7, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on March 8, 2014:


Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance Service at an address on Hillcrest Way.

Animal Control Officers responded to a location on Astle Avenue, in regards to an animal in the roadway.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Shoshone Avenue, regarding a report of a suspicious person. Officers contacted the individual who was an employee who works in the vicinity.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Hillcrest Way, in reference to a civil issue.

Officers completed VIN inspections at the Green River Police Department and addresses on Adams Street and Uinta Drive.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on South 5th East, in reference to an individual wanting to turn their dog over to the Green River Animal Shelter.

Officers responded to an address on Monroe Avenue, in reference to a report of fraud. The victim responded to a classified ad regarding a home business opportunity with Mystery Shoppers Consultancy. The victim received checks from the business with directions to cash the checks, keep 10%, and send the rest of the money through Western Union to the suspect who represented themselves as the employer. The checks were fraudulent and the victim suffered a financial loss for the fraudulent checks that the victim was now reportedly responsible for.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, in regards to a two vehicle crash. It was reported two vehicles were backing out of parking spaces and backed into each other.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Wilkes Drive, in regards to a found cat.

Officers transported two inmates from the Sweetwater County Detention Center to the Green River Municipal Court.

Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a REDDI report on East Teton Boulevard.

Officers were dispatched to the west end of Riverview Drive, in regards to found property.

Officers responded to an address on East 3rd South, in reference to a report of a battery. Officers completed a report about the incident.

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby, in regards to a report of vandalism. It was reported two individuals caused damage to the exterior of a vehicle.

Officers made contact with a juvenile on Iowa Street, in reference to a tobacco complaint. The juvenile was issued a citation for Possession/Use of Tobacco and released to a parent.

Officers were dispatched to an address on West Teton Boulevard, in regards to a citizen assist.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Cumorah Way, in reference to a civil issue regarding custody issues.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on South 2nd East.

Officers were dispatched to an address on South Carolina Drive, in reference to a barking dog complaint. Officers posted a notice at the residence.


The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on March 8, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on March 9, 2014:


Animal Control Officers were dispatched to the area of Bridger Drive, in reference to a report of two dogs at large.

Officers responded to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, regarding a civil issue.

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby, in regards to a citizen assist.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Maryland Drive, in regards to a citizen assist.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Trail Drive, in reference to a residential alarm. Upon arrival, Officers determined the alarm was accidental.

Officers responded to an address on South Wagonwheel Drive, in regards to a parking complaint. Officers contacted the owner of the vehicle and addressed the complaint.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Crossbow Drive, in reference to a welfare check. Upon arrival, Officers contacted the resident and advised everything was okay.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, in reference to a report of a juvenile problem.

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department, regarding a civil issue involving child custody.

Officers were dispatched to an address on West Teton Boulevard, in reference to a report of threats. Officers spoke with parties involved and completed a report on the incident.

Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a REDDI report on Uinta Drive.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, in regards to a found cat.

Officers were dispatched to an address on South 5th West, in reference to a residential alarm. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with the homeowner who advised everything was okay.

Officers attempted to locate a vehicle that exited into Green River from I-80, that was described in a REDDI report.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Hitching Post Drive, in reference to a noise complaint.

Officers located a vehicle described in a REDDI report on West Flaming Gorge Way. Upon contact with the driver, the traffic offense was addressed and the driver was found not to be impaired.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Bridger Drive, in reference to a report of underage use of tobacco.

Officers responded to an address on Adams Street, in regards to a report of harassment.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Adams Street, in regards to a report of two dogs at large.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Cumorah Way, in reference to a report of threats. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with parties involved and reported no threats were made rather juveniles playing on the phone.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Oklahoma Drive, in regards to a barking dog complaint. Officers posted a notice at the residence regarding the complaint.

Officers located a vehicle described in a REDDI report on Uinta Drive. Upon contact with the driver, the driver was found not to be impaired.

Officers responded to an address on Logan Street, in reference to a verbal dispute.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Mansface Street, in reference to a report of a suspicious person. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with the reporting party and advised no one was in the area and everything was okay.

Officers responded to an address on East 4th South, in regards to a report of an assault. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with parties involved and completed a report about the incident.


The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on March 9, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on March 10, 2014:

Officers responded to an address on Maryland Drive, in regards to a citizen assist.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on West Teton Boulevard, regarding a found black and white dog.

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department, in regards to a citizen assist.

Officers responded to an address on Pennsylvania Boulevard, in reference to a report of smoke in the area. Upon arrival, it was determined an individual was burning inside city limits and was advised of the city ordinance.

Officers took a report on Aspen Street in reference to a littering complaint.

Officers were dispatched to an address on South Center Street, regarding a welfare check.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Arkansas Street, in regards to a report of two found black labs.

Officers were dispatched to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, in regards to a civil issue.

Officers responded to an address on Cumorah Way, in reference to a citizen assist.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Maryland Drive, in reference to a 911 call. Upon arrival, Officers determined the call was accidental and a child was playing on the phone.

Judee Tynsky, age 33, was arrested for Driving While Under Suspension and per an active Rock Springs Municipal Warrant for Failure to Appear or Pay Fines on an original charge of Driving While Under Suspension.

Officers completed a VIN inspection at an address on Winter View Drive.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Iowa Avenue, in regards to a barking dog complaint. Animal Control Officers posted a notice at the residence.

Officers were dispatched to an address on North 4th West, in reference to a verbal dispute.

Officers were dispatched to an address in Jamestown to assist the Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Office on call regarding a suspicious person.

Officers responded to an address on West Teton Boulevard, in reference to a citizen assist.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Schultz Street, in regards to a disturbance with several people in the street.

Officers responded to the area of South 3rd East, in reference to a report of a suspicious person.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Bridger Drive.
