Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:

The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on February 18, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on February 19, 2014:

Officers responded to the intersection of Uinta Drive and East Flaming Gorge Way, regarding a two vehicle crash. One of the drivers was issued a citation for Inattentive Driving.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at a location on Scott’s Bottom Road.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Jefferson Street, regarding an animal in a trap call.

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby, in reference to a citizen assist.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Hawaii Court, regarding a residential alarm. Upon arrival, Officers determined everything was okay and spoke with the resident.

Officers responded to an address on Andrews Street, in reference to a possible scam. The reporting party stated a person who spoke poor English called and represented himself as a Microsoft employee. The suspect asked if a computer was in the home and his concerns for the operating system going down. The reporting party hung up on the suspect and did not give any personal information out.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Bridger Drive, in reference to an agency assist.

Officers completed VIN inspections at the Green River Police Department and addresses on Wilderness Trail and East 5th South.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Uinta Drive.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Castle Rock Court, regarding a parking complaint. A vehicle was reported to be blocking the alley; owner of the vehicle was contacted and moved the vehicle.

Officers were dispatched to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a welfare check.

Officers responded to an address on East Teton Boulevard, regarding a parking complaint. Owner of the vehicle was contacted and advised the vehicle would be moved.

Officers assisted a motorist on Upland Way.

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department, in reference to a citizen assist.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on West Virginia Street.

Officers responded to the Green River Adult Probation and Parole Office, in reference to an agency assist. Michael Maestas, age 38, was arrested per an Arrest and Hold Order.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Mansface Street, in reference to a report of a suspicious person.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Mansface Street.

Shanette Beard, age 42, was arrested for Driving While Under Suspension.
