Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:

The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on February 5, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on February 6, 2014:

Officers responded to an address on Mansface Street in reference to a report of suspicious activity.

Officers were dispatched to the area of California Street, in reference to a report of a parking complaint. Officers noted the position of the vehicle for future follow up.

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby for a citizen assist.

Officers completed VIN inspections at the Green River Police Department and at an address on Birch Street.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Alaska Drive, in reference to a residential alarm. Upon arrival, Officers checked the area, spoke with the home owner and determined the alarm was accidental.

Officers responded to the area of Astle Avenue and Mountain Fuel Station for a two vehicle crash. One of the drivers was issued citations for failure to stop at a posted stop sign and driving too fast for conditions.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Jensen Street, in reference to a welfare check on a dog.

Officers were dispatched to an address on East 3rd South, regarding a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers checked the welfare of an individual and issued a trespass warning for the property.

Stacey Vernon, age 29, was arrested per an active Sweetwater County warrant for Failure to Pay on an original charge of Driving While Under Suspension.

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby for a citizen assist.

Officers took a report of child neglect at an address on West 5th North.

Officers completed a report of a vehicle passing a school bus violation. The report was taken from the School District #2 School Bus Yard.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Virginia Drive, regarding a citizen assist.

Officers responded to an address on Centennial Drive, in reference to a trespassing issue. Officers issued a trespass warning to an individual at the request of the home owner.

Officers were dispatched to an address on East Teton Boulevard, in reference to an abandoned 911 call. Upon arrival, Officers checked the area and ensured the property was secured.

Officers responded to an address on West Teton Boulevard, regarding a citizen assist.
