Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:
The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on January 31, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on February 1, 2014:
Officers responded to an address on Wild Horse Canyon Road in reference to a civil standby.
Officers transported an inmate from the Sweetwater County Detention Center to the Green River Municipal Court.
Officers completed a report of a vehicle passing a school bus violation. The report was taken from the School District #2 Bus Barn.
Officers responded to an address on West 2nd South in reference to a report of a vehicle crash. It was reported a vehicle struck a parked and unoccupied vehicle.
Officers responded to an address on Greasewood Street in reference to a report of a five day parking complaint. Owner was contacted; who was not in town and advised they would have the vehicle moved.
Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby for a citizen assist involving property.
Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby in reference to a report of child abuse.
Officers responded to an address on Cumorah Way in reference to a citizen assist.
Officers responded to an address on Monroe Avenue in reference to a report of suspicious activity.
Officers responded to an address on Maryland Drive in reference to a civil matter.
Officers responded to an address on Ridge Crossing in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers determined a verbal dispute had occurred.
Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive in reference to a possible juvenile party involving alcohol. Upon arrival, Officers determined it was a family dispute without alcohol present.
Officers assisted a motorist at an address on Hitching Post Drive.
Kerrin Palmen, age 20, was arrested for Driving While Under the Influence of Alcohol.
Patrick Hurley, age 24, was arrested for Driving While Under the Influence and was issued citations for traffic offenses.
Officers responded to an address on Bridger Drive in reference to a welfare check. Officers contacted the resident who requested to be taken to the hospital.
The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on February 1, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on February 2, 2014:
Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on West Flaming Gorge Way.
Officers responded to an address on West Teton Boulevard in reference to a citizen assist.
Officers responded to an address on Wilderness Trail in reference to a civil matter regarding property.
Officers responded to an address on Maryland Drive in reference to a citizen assist.
Officers completed a VIN inspection at an address on Arkansas Street.
Officers responded to an address on East Teton Boulevard in reference to a report of an abandoned vehicle.
Officers responded to an address on West Flaming Gorge Way in reference to a report of a domestic battery.
Officers spoke with a resident on Schultz Street in reference to a report of harassing telephone calls.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Oklahoma Drive in reference to a report of a stray cat. The cat was taken to the Green River Animal Shelter.
Officers responded to an address on Castle Rock Court in reference to a civil matter regarding property.
Officers responded to the area of South 4th East in reference to suspicious incident. The caller reported a vehicle struck a trash can and left the area.
Officers responded to a parking complaint on East Flaming Gorge Way.
Officers located a vehicle on Commerce Way that was involved in a previous hit and run accident. Officers completed a report and issued a citation to the juvenile driver.
Mitchell Mooney, age 25, was arrested for Driving While Under the Influence of Alcohol and was issued a traffic citation.
Officers completed a report of suspicious activity observed on Railroad Avenue. It appeared an unknown person attempted to steal gasoline from a parked and unoccupied vehicle.
Officers assisted a motorist on East Flaming Gorge Way.
Officers responded to an address on South 2nd East on reference to a suspicious vehicle.
Officers assisted the Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Office on a traffic stop on Uinta Drive.
The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on February 2, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on February 3, 2014:
Officers completed a VIN inspection at an address on West Flaming Gorge Way.
Officers responded to an address on West Teton Boulevard in reference to a citizen assist.
Officers responded to the area of North 3rd East in reference to a parking complaint. Officers tagged a vehicle for five day parking.
Officers responded to an address on Maryland Drive in reference to a citizen assist.
Officers responded to the area of Uinta Drive in reference to a traffic complaint involving a possible underage driver.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on New Mexico Street to a report of a dog at large.
Officers responded to the area of West Teton Boulevard in reference to a traffic complaint of a speeding vehicle.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on South Wagonwheel Drive in reference to a barking dog complaint. Animal Control Officers posted a notice at the residence.
Officers responded to an address on East 2nd North in reference to a civil issue over property.
Officers responded to an address on Shoshone Avenue in reference to a noise complaint.
Officers responded to an address on South Wagonwheel Drive in reference to a barking dog complaint. Officers contacted the owner of the dog about the complaint.
Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Bridger Drive.
Officers assisted the Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Office on a traffic stop on Astle Avenue.
Officers located an unsecured property at an address on Uinta Drive. Officers advised everything was okay and the property was secured.
Officers responded to the area of North 5th West in reference to a report of a dog at large.
