Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:

The following events were reported on September 12th, 2013:


Officers responded to the area of South Center Street for a barking dog complaint.

Officers responded to the Island Pavilion in reference to a suspicious vehicle. The driver was identified and released from the scene after it was determined he had just stopped to rest while driving through town.

Officers were dispatched to an intersection on Monroe Avenue to speak with a Crossing Guard who reported someone driving through her stop sign as she was attempting to assist children cross the street.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to the area of Apache Park for an injured deer. Game and Fish were notified.

Animal Control Officers responded to the area of East 2nd North for a report of two dogs running at large.

Officers responded to an apartment complex on West Teton Boulevard in reference to an underage driving complaint. The juvenile was released to his parents.

Animal Control Officers responded to the area of California Drive for a report of two dogs running at large.

The Nuisance Enforcement Officer responded to a residence on Iowa Avenue in reference to excessive weeds and trash outside of the residence.

Officers responded to the lobby of The Police Department in reference to a missing juvenile. It was determined soon afterwards that the juvenile had returned home.

School Resource Officers responded to Lincoln Middle School for a juvenile problem.

Officers responded to a residence on South Dakota Street for a citizen assist.

Officers assisted Emergency Medical Services with ambulance calls on Uinta Drive and Hitching Post Drive.

Officers were dispatched to Monroe Avenue for a two vehicle crash with no injuries.

Officers were dispatched to a residence on Fawn Circle in reference to suspicious phone calls.

Officers responded to Monroe Intermediate School for a Hit and Run that occurred during an after school activity. The suspect vehicle has not yet been identified.

Officers responded to a location on Uinta Drive in reference to violation of a protection order.

Officers were dispatched to the Wild Horse Saloon to assist with unruly patrons who were making threatening comments.

Officers responded to the Bridger Loaf N Jug in reference to a noise complaint.

Officers responded to the intersection of Astle Avenue and Uinta Drive for a two vehicle crash with no injuries.

Officers responded to a residence on Ridge Crossing for a welfare check on a subject with known medical issues. The subject was contacted and everything was determined to be okay.

Officers assisted citizens with numerous VIN inspections at various locations including South 3rd East, West Flaming Gorge Way and at The Police Department.
