[ARCHIVED] WYDOT will begin work on Green River bridge

WYDOT will begin work on Green River bridge
The Wyoming Department of Transportation will conduct some bridge rehabilitation work on Wyoming Highway 530, Uinta Drive, over the Union Pacific Railroad tracks on the north end of Green River.
The work will include repairs to the bridge deck and joints, as well as sealing the southbound deck. The bridge repairs are part of a districtwide bridge project being conducted by WYDOT, which also includes bridges in the Jackson and Afton areas. The contract was awarded to Cannon Builders, Inc. out of Blackfoot, Idaho for $974,118.
"One lane will remain open to reduce the impact on local traffic," Resident Engineer Leslie Ranta said.
Traffic will be reduced to a single lane through the project work area and work is tentatively scheduled to begin this Tuesday, Sept. 3. The project completion date is Oct. 31, 2013.
WYDOT would like to remind drivers to slow down in work zones, be alert and cautious of roadside workers.
