Press Release for August 23, 2013
Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:
The following events were reported on August 22, 2013:
Officers were dispatched to an address on West Teton Boulevard, in reference to assisting a subject with a medical emergency.
Officers responded to Adult Probation and Parole, regarding assisting Agents in witnessing urine analysis tests.
Officers and Ambulance Personnel were dispatched to an address on Washington Street, in reference to assisting a subject who had fallen.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, in regards to a parrot walking around in the front yard.
Officers were dispatched to the Police Department lobby, in reference to a citizen assist. The subject had questions pertaining to child custody issues.
Officers investigated a parking complaint on West 2nd North.
While at the Flaming Gorge Loaf and Jug, Officers discovered that 26 year old Chantell Coen, of Green River, had an active warrant for her arrest. Coen was placed under arrest and transported to the Sweetwater County Detention Facility. Coen was booked in on failure to pay on an original charge of Driving Under Suspension.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on East Teton Boulevard, regarding a dog at large that had attacked a chicken. Animal Control Officers were unable to locate the dog.
Animal Control Officers were dispatched to the area of Telephone Canyon, in reference to a dog at large.
Officers and Ambulance Personnel responded to an address on Davy Crockett, regarding an elderly female that was discovered not breathing.
Officers were dispatched to the area of Uinta Drive at Riverview Drive, in reference to a REDDI report. Officers were unable to locate the suspect vehicle.
Officers responded to an address on Maryland Drive, in reference to an agency assist for the Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Office.
Officers were dispatched to an address on South Carolina Drive, in regards to a civil matter.
Officers investigated a report of a stolen 4-wheeler trailer on Pelser Street. Investigation ongoing.
Animal Control Officers were dispatched to the area of South Center and 3rd South, in reference to a barking dog complaint.
Officers responded to an address on Pennsylvania Boulevard, in regards to a noise complaint.
Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Connecticut Place, in reference to a dog at large.
While on patrol in the area of Stratton Myers baseball fields, Officers came into contact with 46 year old Timothy Begay, of Green River. It was discovered that Begay had an active warrant for Failure to Appear of an original charge of Battery. Begay was placed under arrest and transported to the Sweetwater County Detention Facility.
Officers responded to an address on South Carolina Drive, in regards to a civil standby.
