Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:

The following events were reported on August 19, 2013:


Officers responded to the west end of Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to an oversized load escort through Green River.

Animal Control Officers responded to the area of Butte Drive, in regards to a dog at large.

Officers performed VIN checks at the Police Department, East Teton Boulevard, Knotty Pine Street, Uinta Drive and Iowa Circle.

Detectives with the Green River Police Department assisted numerous subjects with completing fingerprint cards at the Police Department.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on South 3rd East, in reference to a dog at large.

Officers responded to the County Jail, in regards to transporting a prisoner back to Municipal Court.

Officers assisted the Wyoming Department of Family Services (DFS) with a welfare check on a child on Bridger Drive.

Animal Control Officers responded to the Western Wyoming Community College campus, in regards to a snake on the property.

Officers assisted the Wyoming Department of Family Services (DFS) with a welfare check on a child on Riverview Drive.

Officers were dispatched to Adult Probation and Parole, regarding witnessing a urine analysis.

Officers investigated a report of a two (2) vehicle crash on West 2nd South.

Officers were dispatched to a residential burglar alarm on Wyoming Drive. It was determined to be an accidental alarm
Officers responded to the area of Riverview Drive and Cedar Street, in reference to a lost child. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the child exited their school bus at the wrong bus stop.

Detectives of the Green River Police Department began investigating a case of forgery from a local business.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Crossbow Drive, in reference to a nuisance property.

Officers responded to an address on Elk Mountain Street, in regards to a report of nuisance property.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to a business on Uinta Drive, in reference to a rattlesnake in the parking lot. The snake was picked up and released south of town.

Officers responded to an address on Wilkes Drive, in regards to a group of kids rolling boulders down Mansface Rock. Officers were unable to locate the juveniles.

Officers assisted several individuals at the Police Department, with performing a Portable Breath Test, at the request of Probation and Parole.

Officers responded to an address on South Center Street, regarding a vehicle versus deer crash. The deer had to be dispatched after Officers arrived on scene.

Officers were dispatched to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a subject removal.
