Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:

The following events were reported on August 8, 2013:


Officers were dispatched to an address on Clark Street, in reference to a barking dog complaint.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to Monroe Intermediate School, in regards to a bat located in one of the classrooms.

Animal Control Officers responded to the 700 Schultz trailer court, in reference to a dog at large.

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby, in reference to questions concerning a violation of court order.

Officers were dispatched to an address on West Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a parking violation.

Officers and Fire Department Personnel were dispatched to the dirt lot south of the Maverick Country Store, in regards to a vehicle fire. Upon further investigation, it appeared that the vehicle had been leaking fuel on the engine, which ultimately caused the vehicle to catch on fire. The owner of the vehicle was able to get the vehicle stopped and his children removed before any harm was done.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Cumorah Way, in regards to a couple of dogs that were running around the apartment complex. The animals were located and contained.

Officers responded to the river bridge, where they met with the Green River Parks Department Director and a report was taken, regarding graffiti that was located under the bridge. The graffiti was documented and the Green River Police Department encourages anybody that has any information on a possible suspect, to contact the Police Department.

Officers assisted the Rock Springs Police Department in attempting to locate an individual for questioning in reference to a Hit & Run crash that occurred in Rock Springs earlier in the day.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to the area of West 4th North, in regards to a dog at large.

Animal Control Officers responded to the Green River Recreation Center, in reference to a dog at large.

Animal Control Officers investigated a report of a dog at large, in the area of South 2nd East.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Barnhart Drive, in regards to a wild rabbit that was stuck in a window well of a residence.

Officers responded to the area of Ace Hardware, in regards to a juvenile problem.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Easy Street, in reference to a snake in the front yard.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Bridger Drive, in regards to an agency assist with the Wyoming Department of Family Services.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Churchview, in reference to dog ownership questions.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on South Wagonwheel, in regards to a barking dog complaint.

Officers responded to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a parking complaint.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on East Teton Boulevard, regarding a dog at large.

Officers and Ambulance Personnel responded to an address on Crossbow Drive, in reference to an adult female who was feeling light headed.

Officers responded to an address on East Teton, in reference to a report of illegal dumping.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Colorado Drive, in regards to a dog at large.

Officers responded to an address on East Railroad Avenue, regarding a vandalism that occurred to a vehicle that was parked on the street.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Ironwood Street, in regards to a skunk that was stuck in a window well.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Hitching Post, in reference to a dog at large.

Officers responded to an address on Riverview Drive, regarding a report of possible narcotics use in the area.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Smith’s Food and Drug, in reference to a dog at large.
