Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:

The following events were reported on August 2, 2013:


Officers were called to an address on South Center, in reference to a suspicious circumstances report.

Officers assisted Adult Probation and Parole on Commerce Drive.

Officers responded to an address on Wilkes Drive, in regard to a residential alarm. The alarm was accidental.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Birch Street, in reference to a report of vandalism.

Officers responded to an address on Fallview Drive, in regards to a computer scam.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to the Sweetwater County Courthouse in reference to a dog locked in a vehicle. The owner was contacted and the dog was okay.

Officers were dispatched to an address on East Teton Boulevard, in reference to a suspicious circumstances report.

Officers investigated a parking violation on McKinley Drive.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to 98 Uinta Drive, regarding a report of a cat chasing another car through the area.

Officers were called to the area of East Teton Boulevard and Bridger Drive, in reference to a reckless driver.

Officer of the Green River Police Department, who also act as members of the Sweetwater County Bomb Squad, were called to the scene of a car fire on Friday, August 2, 2013, south of I-80, around Milepost 110. It appeared that the vehicle had been blown up and the scene was treated as such. The investigation is ongoing and it is being handled by the Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Office.

Officers assisted a stranded motorist, who was stuck on the overpass, due to vehicle trouble.

Officers were dispatched to an address on West Teton, in regards to a barking dog complaint. Officers were unable to locate the barking dog.

Officers responded to an address on South Wagonwheel, in reference to a barking dog complaint. Upon arrival, Officers were unable to locate the owner and the dog was ultimately taken to the Animal Shelter.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Windriver Drive, in reference to a suspicious circumstances report.

Officers responded to an address on Faith Drive, regarding a motorist assist, which turned out to be a group of friends, sitting in a vehicle, talking.

The following events were reported on August 3, 2013:


Officers discovered and investigated a vehicle that had its lights left on, at an address on Mississippi Street.

Officers were dispatched to an address on West Flaming Gorge Way, regarding a parking complaint.

Officers responded to the Police Department, to answer civil questions about getting property back.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on New Jersey Street, in reference to a dog at large.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Faith Drive, in regards to a skunk in a trap.

Officers investigated a traffic crash, at Rocky Mountain Car Wash, where the driver of the vehicle, knocked the spray arm off the automatic car wash track.

Officers were dispatched to an address on North 4th West, in reference to child custody issues.

Officers investigated a report of suspicious circumstances on East Teton, regarding a man in a wheel chair, begging for money.

Animal Control Officers responded to the area of East Flaming Gorge Way, due to an animal problem.
Officers responded to an address on Pennsylvania Drive, in reference to found property.

Officers were dispatched to an address on East 4th South regarding a domestic dispute. A report was written and will be forwarded to the County Attorney’s Office.

Officers responded to an address on Anvil Drive, in reference to a stalking report. A female advised that her soon to be landlord was stalking her while she was trying to move out of her apartment. A report was written and forwarded to the County Attorney’s Office for review.

Officers were called to investigate a report of child abuse on Andrews Street. A report was written and will be sent to the County Attorney’s Office.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on East Teton Boulevard, regarding a dog at large.

Officers were dispatched to an address on West Flaming Gorge Way, in regards to a person’s tires being slashed on their vehicle. Investigation ongoing.

Officers were called to the Police Department regarding a citizen assist.

Officers were dispatched to an address in East 2nd North, regarding questions about trespassing.

Officers responded to an address on Daniel Boone, in reference to a traffic complaint. A report was written regarding the offense.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Virginia Drive, regarding a residential alarm. It was determined that the alarm was accidental.

Officers responded to an address on Shoshone Avenue, regarding civil questions.

Officers were dispatched to the Riverview Cemetery, in reference to property damage.

Officers investigated a larceny on West 4th North, where the victim had property stolen off of her vehicle.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Colorado Driver and New Hampshire, in regards to fireworks.

Officers responded to an address on Aspen Street, in reference to a barking dog complaint.

Officers responded to an address on Virginia Drive, in regards to suspicious circumstances.

Officers were called to the parking area behind the Mast Lounge, in reference to suspicious activity.

The following events were reported on August 4, 2013:


Officers were dispatched to an address on South 5th East, in reference to suspicious activity.

Officers investigated a larceny at an address at Castle Rock Court. Investigation ongoing.

Officers were called to the area of Evans Drive and Boulder Circle, in reference to a dog at large.

Officers responded to a residential alarm at an address on Juniper Street. It was determined to an accidental alarm.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Hitching Post, in reference to a bat stuck in a garden house.

Officers responded to an address on East 4th South, in regards to a civil complaint between landlord and tenant.

Officers responded to the Maverick Country Store, in reference to a larceny.

Officers responded to an address on Schultz Street, in regards to a domestic dispute.

Officers responded to an address on Stage Place, in an attempt to serve an arrest warrant. Upon arriving, Tabatha N. Eychner, 19 years old of Green River, was placed under arrest for the charges of Burglary (residential) and larceny (less than $1000.00) Eychner was transported to the Sweetwater County Detention Facility, where she was booked in on the above charges.

Officers investigated a crash in the parking lot of Anytime Fitness on Uinta Drive. One of the drivers, Shannon Fetch, 24 years old, was issued a citation for Inattentive Driving, after backing into another vehicle driving through the parking lot.

Officers were called to the area of Uinta Drive at East 2nd South, in reference to a REDDI report. Upon locating the driver, it was determined that the driver was not intoxicated.

Officers were called to the Union Pacific Railroad yard, in regards to a couple of transients walking through the train yard. The subjects were located and issued trespass warnings for the UPRR property.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Juniper Street, in reference to a noise complaint.

Officers were called to an address on Windriver Drive, in reference to an assault that had just taken place. The investigation was completed and a copy of the report was sent to the County Attorney’s Office for review.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Andrews Street, in reference to a suspicious circumstances report.
