Animal Control Officers were dispatched to the area of Maverik Country Store to a report of a pit bull running at large. The dog was not located.

Officers were dispatched to the Office of Wyoming Probation and Parole at 140 Commerce Dr. to administer a drug test for a probationer.

Officers responded to Smith’s to assist a citizen who needed assistance with questions they had.

Officers were dispatched to E. Railroad Ave. to warn a transient of trespassing on Union Pacific Property. Officers located a person matching the description given them and found him to be a former UPRR employee, not a transient.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to a residence on Elm St. to a reported dog bite. A child was playing on a swing with the family dog nearby. The family dog apparently mistook the child’s screams of joy for screams of distress and bit at a trailing piece of rope on the swing and missed and scraped the child’s leg. The dog was happy and healthy when Animal Control Officers arrived and the owner had kept the dog’s vaccinations current, so the dog was not required to be impounded for observation.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Bridger Dr. for a squirrel caught in a trap. The squirrel was relocated.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to a reported nuisance animal on the 300 block of Riverview Dr. The owner was contacted and given a verbal warning.

Officers were dispatched to the office of Wyoming Department of Probation and Parole at 140 Commerce Dr. where a person with an active arrest warrant had checked in with their probation officers. Officers arrested Anthony Scott Greene, 19 years old of Green River on an arrest warrant for Green River Circuit Court for violating the terms of his probation. Greene was on probation for an earlier conviction of Larceny. Greene was transported to the Sweetwater County Detention Facility where he was booked into jail without incident.

Officers were dispatched to the apartment complex at 420 Wilkes Dr. on two different occasions where a neighborhood dispute between residents in the complex has been ongoing for the past few weeks. Deryl Valerio, 54 years old of Green River was issued a citation for Disturbing the Peace of one of the residents there, while a trespass warning was issued to another male subject. The case has been forwarded to the City Prosecuting Attorney.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to a residence on E. 4 S. to a nuisance animal complaint. The owner of the nuisance animal was issued a verbal warning.

Officers were dispatched to a fight in progress near Expedition Island. Officers arrived on scene and learned the fight was between two juvenile males and one of the subjects was transported to the hospital by ambulance for treatment after he reported having been picked up and slammed down on rocks placed near the river. The case has been turned over to the Sweetwater County Attorney’s office.

Officers were dispatched to a residence on S. 5 E. to a hang up 911 call. The call originated from small children playing on the phone.

Officers were dispatched to a domestic dispute on Buckboard Lane. The dispute was not physical and the parties separated for the evening.
