[ARCHIVED] Green River Appoints New City Engineer

The City of Green River is pleased to announce that Mr. Mark Westenskow has accepted the position as City Engineer/Utility Manager and will be starting on Monday, March 18, 2013. Marty Black, Green River City Administrator, described Mr. Westenskow’s experience; “Mark brings a rich variety of public works experience in both the private and public sectors and is a professional engineer licensed in Wyoming and eleven other states.” Mark graduated Magna Cum Laude from Brigham Young University with a B.S. in civil engineering and received his Master of Engineering with an emphasis in Public Works Management and Engineering from Texas A&M University. Mark and his family will be relocating to Green River from their current home in Montana.

The interview panel was unanimous in their recommendation and included Mike Brown, Inberg-Miller Engineers, Jason Palmer, City Utilities, Randy Koloff, City Streets, and Jennie Melvin, City Community Development, with candidate tours by Mike Nelson, City Public Works Director.

Black added, "Mark’s work as a design and engineering consultant to several communities in Wyoming, coupled with his experience in construction management will provide a great benefit to the community as the City embarks on the 6th Penny Projects."
