Sherry Bushman began her term on City Council serving Ward 1 in the City of Green River in 2021. Sherry has been a Green River citizen since 2016.

 She started to be involved in her community after 90 days of being a resident by joining the URA downtown and served 4 years. She and her husband of 25+ years, have one former foster son, who is a Marine Veteran. Her husband is a member of the American Legion, Post 28, a certified Amateur Ham Radio technician and a volunteer for Sweetwater Search & Rescue.

Sherry earned her Master’s Degree in Business at University of Phoenix and a certificate in Business Computer Programming. Currently, she is the Director, Credit & Collections for a nationwide staffing company and has been in the staffing industry for 20+ years.

Sherry Bushman is the Vice Chair of the American Legion Auxiliary, Tom Whitmore Post 28. A recipient of the 2022 Unit Member of the Year ALA Award, the Director of the Veterans Freedom Race 5k, a benefit for our local Veterans for the Holidays, a volunteer Honor and Color guard, a member of the Hole in the Wall Gang (Green River Chamber Ambassador).

We want to preserve Green River’s quality of life for the next generation. She believes in volunteering and encourages others to also be involved for the betterment of our community.

She enjoys our wide-opened spaces, as well as, softball, running, golfing, and camping.
